Flashback
'Calling Noah Callahan', I urgently dialled his number several times.
2:33am
I was feeling restless. My hand gripped the small glass, my fingers encircling it to lift it. A hand slammed it downwards, I shot him an annoyed look.
"You will regret it" the stranger said as he traded it for a glass of water. I chugged the water and stormed out of the pub. Rain pouring rapidly down, flooding the streets. My fingers fumbling with the keys, as I entered the apartment. I opened the refrigerator and heard distant mumbling approaching. The apartment door then opened. Instead of chatter, the sounds of heavy breathing and kisses. He came in, their lips hungrily responding to each other, his hands brushed through her sleek auburn hair.
"Wow you are so much better when you are drunk" Noah said with a smirk.
The girl's identity now revealed as she pulled her hair back. I moved beside the refrigerator in utter shock and disbelief. I continued fighting back the urge to cry, 'I can't believe he is taking advantage of Sienna, my heart hurts so much, but it's not like he is mine'. I attempted to leave resulting in a THUD and quickly ran out of the apartment.
The rain streaming all my remaining makeup down my face. My hair was now flat and lost its curled form. I sat on the bench. My shrivelled hands placed on my soaked suede skirt. I felt a dry sensation enveloping me, the towel only absorbing the rain droplets.
"Just use this, it's amazing how often girls cry here. You are probably the first one I've actually approached" the deep voice said, I looked up at the stranger from earlier. His hand on his neck as he nervously chuckled.
"Kind of weird that I don't know you" I mumbled hoarsely.
"Oh, I'm Kyle Yang, I am the loner who hates when girls cry" he said mockingly.
End of Flashback
I arrived back in the storeroom again. Kyle's attention all on the blade as he trimmed the edges of black leather.
"I don't know how I'm going to go to the wedding. Out of all weddings I had to be invited to, it had to be one that Noah Callahan is invited to. I don't even own a pair of heels." I scoffed. I stopped for a minute.
"Wait" I said looking hopefully at Kyle. He quickly realised what I meant.
"Trinity, No Way" He refused.
"Please it's just one night, I'll give them back straight after" I pleaded. Cream pair of open-toed stilettos caught my eye, it had thin straps, one over the toes and another with a corresponding miniature buckle. I sat down, placing them on carefully. My fingers fumbling clumsily at the buckle. Kyle bent down and fastened the clasp tightly around my ankles.
My legs unsteady as I began to stand up.
"Can't you stand any better than that?" Kyle asked. I attempted to walk, every step taken with caution. I felt myself lose balance. A sudden tight grip constricted over my right arm keeping me from falling. I could feel a sense of awkwardness as he quickly let go. I sat back down and put them back in the box. I thanked him and headed towards the door.
"Wait Trinity" He said. I turned to look at him.
"I'll take you home, it's late" Kyle mumbled.
I looked over at him, his expression seemed to become quite solemn. His cheeks turning a tinge of rouge.
"Don't miss me too much tomorrow" I said cheekily.
"Trust me I won't" He said as he motioned me to leave.
