We went back to his dorm. Complete silence. Not a word said. Not a breath heard. I felt my heart pounding, as nervous sweats formed. He looked rather guilty and almost worried.
"Thanks for coming" I mumbled as he solemnly smiled.
"Can we just forget that all of that happened? I'm sorry I wasn't thinking straight" I suggested. He looked at me with a worrisome expression.
"If that's what you want, I'm sorry I started it" He responded as he left the couch. He threw me a few blankets and a pillow.
"Night" He said coldly. I grabbed his wrist before he walked in his room.
"Can you stay here for a little bit?" I pleaded. He sat back down next to me and spread open his arms.
I entered his warm embrace, his cologne now smelt stronger than ever. My head rested on his hard chest. I softly smiled at the thought of his exhausting efforts to gain that six pack.
"Are you uncomfortable like this?" I asked worriedly.
"I'm fine, worry about yourself" He shot back. I attempted to get up but Kyle softly dropped my head on his lap.
"Just stay like this please" He said full of urgency. We both soundly fell asleep.
Blinding beams of light awoke Kyle from his restful state. He saw Nathan looking at them with a shocked expression. He carefully moved my head so that he could get up. In the process, I woke up to the brightness of the sun illuminating the room.
"I'm going to go shower first" Kyle said. I looked at Nathan who moved to sit next to me.
"What you saw wa-" He cut me off,
"You don't need to explain, I understand" Nathan said reassuringly.
"But are you perhaps interested in Kyle?" He asked. I was speechless.
"I don't know, H-he is just a friend to me. I've n-never thought of him romantically. Oh god, I need to get to the pool now, Bye Nathan" I said hesitantly.
He chuckled at my response.
My arms stroking frantically through the water. Thoughts rushing through my mind. I resurfaced to catch my breath.
'Why would Nathan think I like Kyle? We have been friends for so long, if something were to happen it would have happened right? Besides, you said you love Noah' I thought to myself.
I got out of the pool and dried myself off.
*beep*
'BAKA: Ice-cream tonight?'
'PABO: Only for you'
I scanned the area for a clock.
8:35am
Crud. I'm gonna be late.
Meanwhile, Noah rolled his eyes at the floral pink dress that he had just purchased.
"She better like it, that spoilt 5-year-old princess" he scoffed.
His eyes scanning the decorative displays of vibrant shoes and clothes. His eyes drew to a pair of high heels. Cream in colour. Open-toed and simplistic. His mind analysed his realisation.
He quickly rushed into the store.
"Argh you work here?" Noah said to Kyle.
"Something I can help you with?" Kyle said with annoyance.
"Those shoes in the window, do you happen to know who purchased them?" Noah said.
Kyle was completely speechless. Thoughts of fear rushed through his mind, contemplating if he should tell.
'Forget it Kyle, she likes Noah. Let her be happy. It's been 2 years, if she liked you something would have happened by now' He thought to himself hopelessly.
