"Congratulations on not being dead, groupies." Shiro said gently, pulling up the darts form the boat that missed him as he stood up, a gentle smile on his face. "You surprised me."

Keith smiled, standing up and coming to beside his two friends, who were squealing a bit. The mortal with a mullet crossed his arms over his chest, his eyebrow raised and a small smirk on his lips. But Shiro looked back down with a sad look on his face as he steered them onwards through the open water.

""But I still can't go with you to take back the Heart."

Keith arched an eyebrow a bit as his smile turned into a frown. Shiro sighed, tossing the darts into the ocean as he stood up to be just a little taller than Keith, pushing past the three to get to the other side of the boat to look out at the coming night sky. As if knowing what Keith would ask next, Shiro motioned outwards.

"You want to get to Allura, you first have to go through a whole ocean of bad." He states, the water lapping at his toes as he sat down. "Not to mention Lotor. The lava monster."

Shiro motioned to the tattoo on his back as he he spoke, his right shoulder covered in a purple, black, and red tattoo that showed an angry looking being separating Shiro from his prosthetic as it sprang from the mountains underneath. The mini Shiro gave a little whimper look as it hung just off to the side on the right shoulder, worried look on his face.

"Ever defeat a lava monster?"

"No." Pidge smirked, brushing the new messy short hair to the side as she teetered back on her heels and then forwards, a mischievous look in her eyes. "Have you?"

Shiro grunted as he looked out at the sea, the little guy returning to his left peck and silently snickering. It pulled down a little score board, Shiro on one side and the three heads of the people he was with on the other. Using it's glowing purple finger, it put a tally on the three headed side, leaning against the board as if to ask 'what you gunna do about it?'

"I am not going on a suicide mission for some mortals like you." Shiro growled, standing up and looking at them with a bit of anger in his voice. "You can't restore the heart without me, and I say no."

Shiro pulled a banana from the storage of the boat and went to sit with the rudder once more, his eyes glued to the sea ahead of him. Pidge and Hunk exchanged glances, then stepped to the side to let Keith handle this one. Keith on the other hand, just stood there with his arms crossed.

"You-"

"I am getting my prosthetic." Shiro cut off. "End of discussion."

Keith sighed as he rubbed his temples. This was rediculous, he should have remembered this was a Kupua of legend that had stolen the heart for himself! Why would he want to do anything for....

Keith's eyes lowered down to the tattoos over the pale skin. Most of them depicted his achievements, but also the people cheering for him as he did them. From the pulling up of islands to the slowing of the sun, there was a happy crowd of mortals that were cheering out his name. This gave Keith an idea.

"You'd be a hero." Shiro stopped mid bite of his food, looking up from the fruit to the man questioningly. "That's what you're really all about, right?"

Keith sat beside him, smiling just a bit as he played with the water at his fingertips. He gave a sideways glance at the Kupua. Shiro arched an eyebrow with a bit of curiosity to see where this was going as he bit into the fruit.

"Young man, I am a hero." Shiro noted, smirking a bit as he leaned in closer so that his chin was almost on Keith's shoulder. "Always have been."

"Maybe you were." Keith said slowly, reaching over and taking the decently bitten banana from him and looking over the side of the water. "But now... Now you're just the guy who stole the Heart of Allura."
