Her eyes flickered to his other hand in which he
held a basket composed of straw.

"Whichever fruit you have, I shall buy the basket
whole," said she without hesitation.

Words were no more, except for one.
"Betrothed," he whispered as he handed
over the basket closed.

She held a form of currency in opposite hand,
until he was out of sight.

It felt so light minus the ideal fruits and breads.
But what struck her as odd was his lack of
need for payment.
