filled.

They could not bare the thought of a woman ruling alone.

One family, of a higher class, insisted she rush to the alter once more
before time did her body in.

Otherwise, hummed them, she would fall into an abyss of sorrow and
guilt.

Townspeople spoke of a man from an allied country
whom might fancy the queen.

"How dare they?" yelled she in fury, "all the townspeople think I am
no longer fit to rule. And as a widow no less!"
