Kim fixes her hair and dress then she knocks on Jude’s door.
“It’s open.” Jude said.
Kim walks in the room and sees all the posters of K-pop. “So you like K-pop huh?” she said.
“Yeah! Do you like K-pop too?” Jude asked.
“This may sound hard to believe but I’m not much of a fan. I’m more into indie rock bands.” Kim replied.
“Oh.” Jude said. You can sense that he wasn’t interested at all.
Kim gets her lab manual in her bag. “So let’s get this done.” She said. Kim opens the manual. Jude closes it.
“I don’t need help with my report.” He said.
“Then why did you-”
“Wanna go out with me?” he asked.
Kim was speechless. She takes a long pause before responding to Jude’s question.
“It could be a double date if you’re more comfortable that way.” Jude said.
“Uh, double date? Cool!” that was all Kim could say at the moment.
“How does Friday night sound? Is that okay?” Jude asked.
“Sure. I guess I could just ask Lauren to come with us and some random guy she wants to go out with.” Kim said.
“You’re taking Lauren? Perfect! Ayt! Cool! You can go now. Get out!” Jude said.
Kim has a confused look on her face as she leaves the room.
“Bye?” she said.
“See yah!”
Kim gets her phone and calls Lauren.
“Hey Lo! You free this Friday night?” Kim asked.
Lauren is at the Student Union when Kim called. She is walking around waiting for Ally.
“Why? What are you planning?” Lauren answered Kim’s question with a question.
“Jude asked me out.” Kim said. Lauren can sense the guilt in Kim’s voice.
“That’s great! But wait why are you asking me if I’m free? It’s your date, not mine. Kim, what did you do?” Lauren said.
“It’s kind of a double date. And I thought I’ll just take you with me. Please say you’ll come with.” Kim begged.
Tyler walks by. Lauren’s eyes follow Tyler.
“I see. Hold on.” Lauren said.
She jogs to Tyler. “Hey! Hey! Hey you, cute guy in a green shirt!” she called.
Tyler looks at his shirt, carefully looks around the Student Union, and points to himself with an innocent face then mouths “me?”
“Yes, you! You’re the guy from Kim’s, um, something. You’re in one of her classes, I think. What’s your name?” Lauren spoke.
“Tyler. Tyler Cater.” He answered.
“Hi Tyler! I’m Lauren. You wanna go out with me this Friday night?” Lauren asked confidently.
Tyler is confused.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the phone, Kim is panicking. “Lauren! Lauren, no! Oh my God Lauren! Stop! No!” she cried out.
“I’m sorry? Go out with you? You mean, like on a date?” Tyler asked.
“Well, it’s not a real date. I just need someone to come with me for a double date. And you seem like a nice guy. So, are you in? Please?” she replied.
