“What are you gonna do now? Are you gonna let Kim win?” Ally asked.
“I don’t know. I guess so.” Lauren replied.
Lauren lies down on her bed and closed her eyes for a while but stands back up again.
“I think I’m gonna go grab a drink at the bistro. Wanna come?” Lauren offered.
“I can’t. I have an early exam tomorrow.” Ally responded.
“Alright. I’ll try my best not to wake you when I get back.” Lauren said.
Lauren gives Ally a kiss on the cheek before she left.

Lauren arrives at the Retro Bistro. She takes a seat at the bar.
“Can I have a beer?” Lauren asked.
Logan turns around. “You can. But you may not.” He replied.
“Logan!” Lauren exclaimed.
“Okay, I just have to ask you this. Why is it that you’re always so surprised to see me?” Logan asked.
“I’m not surprised. I’m just happy to see you. That’s all.” She replied.
He smiled and said, “Oh, really? You’re happy to see me? Aw! How touching!”
“You’re easy on the eyes. That’s why.” She said.
“Are you saying I’m good looking? Is that it?” he asked.
“Just give me my damn beer!” she demanded.
Logan hands Lauren a bottle of beer. “Someone’s cranky tonight. Bad day?” he asked.
“Oh, more like a bad couple of weeks.” She replied.
“How come?” he asked.
“My date nights were always a bust. Every single one was a disaster.” She replied.
“Date nights huh?” he said.
“Yeah, you know. My friends wanted me to find a guy blah blah blah, you know because of the whole cheating boyfriend thing.” She said then she takes a sip of her beer.
“I’ll be your guy.”
Lauren slightly chokes. “What?” she asked.
“I’m just saying, you don’t necessarily need a boyfriend, right? You kinda just need someone to be there for you, like a guy best friend, or brother or your very own knight in shining armor. Am I right?” he remarked.
“I guess. Yeah.” She said.
“Tell you what; whenever you need a shoulder to cry on or you’re in the mood for a night in just watching movies and eating all the junk food known to man or you wanna go climb a mountain or whatever, whatever you want to do, I will be there for you. I’ll be your guy. That is, if you want me to be.” He added.
Lauren pulls out some money from her pocket then she said, “Sure. You’re my guy.” Lauren puts money on the counter.
“It’s on the house.”
“Really? Thanks!” Lauren rejoiced.
“Sure, anything for my bestie.” He said jokingly.
Lauren smiles, stands up and turns away.
“What, no goodbye kiss or maybe even just a hug? This hurts my feelings!” he said.
Lauren leans over the counter to give Logan a hug.
