“Why? What’s wrong? Who was that?” Lauren asked.
“That was my brother. My dad was rushed to the hospital. He was found unconscious on the kitchen floor.” Logan replied.
“Okay. Which hospital? I’ll drive you there.” she said.
“I can drive myself. You don’t have to go with me.” He said.
“I sort of have this policy. I don’t let people who are stressed, depressed, drunk, or high drive.” She explained.
“But I’m not any of those.” He said.
“Yeah, but you just received bad news. I know it’s pretty cloudy up in that head of yours right now. So just let me drive you to the hospital, okay?” she insisted.
Logan nodded in agreement. Lauren and Logan both rush to Lauren’s car.
When they arrived at the hospital, Lauren and Logan get in the emergency room as quickly as they could. Logan is almost out of breath but still tries to speak.
“Excuse me. Can you tell me where Anthony Scott is? I’m his son. I don’t know what happened to him exactly but my brother said they are in this hospital.” Logan spoke.
The nurse is on the phone so she just pointed to the direction of the trauma room, where Mr. Anthony Scott is.
“Okay. Thank you.” Logan said. He looks at Lauren. “I’ll just wait here.” she said.
Logan nods. Lauren gives him a reassuring smile. Logan brisk walks to the trauma room. Lauren goes to the nearest vending machine to get a snack bar. After getting the snack bar, she walks around the waiting area. While eating her snack bar, she looks at the bulletin board. Something caught her eye, a flyer about cancer and someone wrote “Articulo Mortis” on it. She grabs the flyer. Her face is filled with worry. Her eyebrows meet in the middle. She starts breathing heavily. She sits down and immediately stands back up again. She turns around and sees Logan slowly walking towards her. Logan is about to fall on his knees and breakdown. Lauren rushes towards him and hugs him before he falls. Logan started bawling.
A few days passed. Logan and Lauren barely talk to each other. Logan is so broken about his father’s death. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone.
The day of his Mr. Scott’s funeral, Lauren was lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling.
“Hey. Isn’t today Mr. Scott’s funeral? Aren’t you going?” Ally asked Lauren.
“He doesn’t want me there. I just have to respect his decision.” Lauren said.
“Okay. Well, I’m meeting Kim and Bianca at the bistro. You should come with.” Ally offered.
Lauren gives out a deep sigh and said, “Nah. I think I’ll just stay here. I’m kinda not in the mood to interact.”
“Oh. Okay. Just call me if you need anything.” Ally said.
“I will.” Lauren said.
Ally grabs her coat and heads out.

In the Retro Bistro, Kim and Bianca are waiting for Ally. Ally walks in the bistro.
“Hey. How’s Lolo doing?” Bianca asked.
Ally just shakes her head.
“I have never seen Lo so low.” Kim said.
“She’s acting like it was her dad who died.” Bianca said.
“But I kinda get it though. She really likes Logan. And something tragic happened in his life. And Lo feels like she’s a part of his life now, so. It’s kinda like she lost someone dear to her too.” Ally remarked.
“I just hope she gets out of this funk before her birthday. I don’t want her feeling all depressed on her special day.” Kim said.
Ally’s phone rings. “It’s probably Lauren,” she assumed. She looks at her phone. “It’s Logan.” She stated.
“Will you just answer the damn phone?” Bianca said.
Ally answers her phone. Bianca and Kim try to eavesdrop.
“I have a favor to ask you.” Logan said.
(What is the favor Logan will ask the girls? Does this have something to with Lauren? Find out in Part 11.)
