~ Third Person P.O.V ~
"I know about One For All"
As soon as those words left Sai's mouth, Midoriya froze. Hundreds of questions began filling his head, but the loudest one being, how?
How? When?
He stared at the girl in front of him, who had once again turned indifferent, making it impossible for him to read her.
Midoriya started to think back, all the interactions he has had with Sai in class, when All Might was teaching and then it hit him. She has known since the USJ attack.
He had noticed early that Sai is very keen and observant, it's actually no surprise that she found out and he had a feeling that she would've found out that something was going on between All Might and him as time went on. But not so soon. But it's his fault, he remembered he slipped when All Might was about to fight Nomu, she must've caught it immediately.Midoriya took a deep breath to compose himself, managing to calm his thoughts a little bit. Lying to Sai is impossible, so accepting that she knows the truth is the only option. But the question now is what can he go from here? He needs to know how long has she known about them. About One for All. And the most important question, what will she do with the information?
He knows that Sai has no qualms with taking down heroes, simply because she doesn't care. So she could if she wanted too, give that information to villains, which worried him immensely. But he did notice that she seemed to have some respect for All Might.
Knowing that, Midoriya could feel himself calm down again and got enough courage to open his mouth to ask her directly.
"W-what will you do with that information? Are you planning t-to give it away?" He managed to question her, but not without stuttering. But he held his ground and stared at her, not wavering.
Look at him. Being so confident, yet so scared. Should I humour him with the answer or let him squirm a little bit more? Sai thought to herself, starting back at Midoriya with an unreadable gaze.
They stared at each other for what seemed like an eternity, when in reality it was just a few seconds.
Just when Midoriya could take the silence anymore and was about to question the broker again, he was interrupted by Sai lifting her hand, showing her palm, as if she wanted him to give her something.
"Give me some money and I will tell you."
HUH!? MONEY!?
"Don't look so surprised, I'm an information broker. I sell information." Sai said with a deadpan, "I gave you the last one for free, but you can't expect receiving everything without giving something in return. That's not how it works. So if you want me to answer your questions, you better pay up." She did a 'give me' hand gesture, waiting for the boy to pay her.
What she said, does make sense, it's her profession after all. He was just not expecting it so bluntly.
Midoriya gave out a shaky breath, before opening his bag to take out his wallet. He can't believe himself, he's actually buying information from his classmate. Sure it's extremely crucial that he get answers, but still!
"How much do you want?"
"How much to you have?"
Midoriya could feel himself crying crocodile like tears, as he gave Sai all of his money. That was supposed to go to a limited edition All Might merch....
Sai on the other hand didn't notice or care, that she basically made her classmate cry, and counted the money given to her. "Only 8k yen, huh? I'm getting cheap..." She mumbled to herself, still not noticing the suffering boy in front of her. She put the money in her pocked and crossed her arms, staring at Midoriya, who had now stopped crying on the outside, only doing it on the inside instead.
