I got out some beads and string and put them on a mat on the floor. Darcy sat down on the mat and started making bracelets.
I started vlogging.
Darcy was on her sixth bracelet by the time Louise came.
"Mummy!!" she screamed, running for the door. In her haste, she dropped her half-finished bracelet and scattered beads everywhere.
When I got out to them, Darcy was jumping around excitedly. Louise hugged me.
"Chummy! Thanks for looking after Darcy!" she cried.
"It was a pleasure, Chummy! Would you like some tea?" I replied.
"Sure" she told me.
Louise sat down at my table while I made tea. I had something in the back of my mind that bore some thinking.
I finally finished making the tea and came to a decision.
I handed the tea to Louise and sat across from her. She scrolled through Twitter.
"Hey, Lou?" I said, quietly.
"Mmm, yea?" she mumbled.
I took a sip of tea and waited for a few seconds, nervously.
"I think I like Alfie"
