There was silence on the other side of the phone and Alex thought he might not have heard her, "Sir?"
Alex heard a humming sound and realized it was Korean. It was way to fast and quiet for her to understand. She looked up at Su-Min who had her face in her hands and was slowly banging her head against the table seemingly trying to comfort herself.
The humming stopped and Alex turned her attention back to the phone, "I don't care. From what I've heard you're perfect. I have a plan, this will blow the world away."
Alex gasped, "Wait, so I can join?"
Su-Min's head snapped up so fast it was a wonder she didn't break her neck "Alex, what did you say? You can join?" Su-Min's expression went from panicked to relaxed, now she only had to organize the legal things and small things for her everyday life. What would she need to sort out? Plane tickets, passport, visa, clothing, makeovers... she thought that was it. Alex would have to live with the boys, in a seperate room? Groups always lived together it was just easier for everyone involved. Finally she could stop worrying about finding the member and move on. How did she miss the fact Alex was a girl? She was so used to boys who looked feminine. It didn't help that Alex had short hair too. Su-Min also wondered how PD-nim planned on getting a girl to join BTS. A voice tore her away from her thoughts.
"Yeah... did you want to talk to him now? He's speaking too fast, I can't understand him." Alex held the phone away from her ear, "I think he's just talking to himself now anyway."
Alex sat on her bed and stared at a wall, she was supposed to be ready for Maddi to pick her up and drive to the movie but she couldn't get herself to move.
In three days she was going to be on a plane flying to South Korea to join an internationally famous Kpop boy group. PD-nim told her that he had a plan and Alex didn't care what his strategy was, all she knew was that she would get to dance like she did when she discovered BTS.
The thought alone excited her and made her forget about the conversation she would be having with her closest friends in a few hours, she knew they would be supportive but she was worried some might react in anger and they would miss the last few days they had together for who knows how long.
Su-Min told her the basic plan, Alex was meeting with her tomorrow to go through the last details of her flight and what would happen once she landed in South Korea.
She heard a beep from outside and grabbed her purse on the way out of her room, she saw George playing in the hallway and she ruffled his hair. That's something else she needed to do, tell her family.
That would be the hardest thing. She looked after the house the most out of the members of her family and she was worried it would fall into a wreck. Alex was also going to Korea for her family, she didn't doubt she would be making some money, Alex had looked it up and even if she didn't see money at first as soon as they started touring they would be raking it in. All of the money she had access to would be sent back to her family, finally she could pay them back for everything they did for her and take the stress off of them. Maybe she would become closer with her parents again? That would be a real dream come true.
Although she didn't get to see everyone she was close to in ages, she was still making their lives better. It helped that she would be following her dream too, somehow everything worked out.
Apart from the fact she was a girl.
She decided to leave it in the hands of PD-nim and just follow his instructions.
