I was back in that place that haunts me I'm getting used to now. MY NIGHTMARES. This time I was out of the terrible house. I was standing outside in the dark.
Sky black as ebony, clouds shaped like Halloween ghosts. Tree branches made shadows that looked as if they were creeping up to me in scary forms and shapes. I could hear the sound of booming thunder from afar. The wind was howling strongly making the trees sway and the shadows seem like they are moving.
"Something about tonight seems really odd or is it just me".
"I feel like I'm missing something... Is it Halloween already? Do we have a scary day on the calendar? Oh yeah now I remember there is a man wearing a hoodie who was trying to kill me and has been following me".
I notice a man walking along the path. "Is it him? ".
"Of course it is him you idiot, he is wearing a hoodie can't you see".
My brain seemed to be responding to the question. I follow the person silently tip toeing. He looks like he is rushing somewhere real urgent and he does not even sense me behind me. He then stops to take a phone call.
"Yes, I left the house I'm am coming to inform you about everything.
Don't worry I'm being really cautious...I know we can't afford her knowing right now and yes I did not hurt her, just scared her off a bit".
My heart was pounding and I was holding my mouth since I did not want to make a sound.
I tried listening to the rest of the conversation but I could not and during the minutes he was talking I was engaged in my thoughts. The moment I snapped back to reality I realized that he was gone. I tried looking down the street looking for him but there was no sign of him anywhere.
"Who was he talking too?"
"Where they talking about me?"
"What is there to know about...what is the secret?"
"Maybe it's my MOM"
I was still sure she was out there somewhere but I was not going to get my hopes up that soon....maybe it's a serial killer and I'm a victim, laying myself in his trap. I should really start being careful. These were my last thoughts before I woke up.
