Tracy and I talked for hours on end. By the time I got up to leave, it was almost nightfall. She walked me to the gate and there was a strange woman waiting for us there. She had bright orange hair tied in a ponytail  and almond shaped  eyes which seemed to glow. She moved with a cat-like agility. We stopped in front of her but she kept staring straight ahead, like we weren't even there. Tracy being, you know,Tracy, waved her arms out in front of the cat woman's face and said, "HELLOOO, are you even alive? Got any manners?" She seemed quite annoyed.
The woman looked at us like she had just acknowledged our presence and said, "So it is true. You can see us. Great. Come with me," completely ignoring everything Tracy said earlier. Her sentences were very perfectly articulated. Like she couldn't bother to say any more than she did. "Wait, go where? Who are you? Why did you think that we couldn't see you? And....," "All will be answered later." She cut me off.
"Why should we trust you?" asked Tracy. "You shouldn't, but I can explain the glow-y stuff that's been happening" she replied. She looked at our confused faces, gave us a questionable looks and then held out her hand. She mumbled something under her breadth and a mist (much like the one tracy and I had seen earlier) appeared, but it was flame coloured.
I hadn't told Tracy that I had also seen the mist so when she peered at me then I knew thar she had begun to suspect me. I nodded at her. And we silently agreed to go with the woman. Never follow or talk to strangers. That's what all kids are taught but I knew Tracy would be up for an adventure and I was just too curious to say no. But we would have to be cautious. So I clutched Tracy's arm and together we followed the strange woman to our unknown fate through the dark streets.
