The last chapter of Angel Petrova😢

The king was dead, and the queen was the one who committed the treacherous act. ANd with the king dead, the game was over, and the lives of all the soldiers on the battlefield were forever changed.

Angel’s weak heart pattered pathetically in a slow beat. Her eyes shifted between open and shut, shut and open, before finally loosening its slipping grip on life. Angel’s heartbeat stopped, and her head fell back against the the warm bed of the Gilbert home. In all her lives, she dies in the most tragic ways. First, she was executed and her remains were disposed of harshly. She then had her heart ripped out of her chest by a man she thought she could truly love, then her body was left in the forest to rot away with the rest of the decaying elements. And her third death was the most painful. Burning alive was a torturous event. The worst part of them all was the betrayal that each was linked to. Angel had never had  a peaceful death, and the afterlife, which was floating in purgatory until her reincarnation, was never truly pleasant either.

So Angel was grateful for this quiet goodbye. Angel was warm and relaxed. Angel died in comfort, and her afterlife would be restful. Angel would never be trapped in purgatory again.

Elena was the one to find her sister’s body. The brunette’s eyes widened with horror, while a desperate scream for the two vampires downstairs ripped itself from her lungs. The two men sped up, and they each felt their blood run cold. Stefan was the one to rush over to the blonde, while Damon help the wailing girl. Stefan shook the deceased blonde, and then shoved his bleeding wrist to her lips. His hands tried to force his blood down the blonde’s unmoving throat, and in pure desperation, and began doing CPR.

The blonde appeared fine. There were no visible wounds on display. There was not a stench of blood in the air, and there were not any pill bottles around. Her death was a mystery to them.

Stefan refused to call an ambulance or take her to the hospital. Deep down, he knew this was of Angel’s doing, and no plain medical technique could undo Angel’s doings. He also knew that Angel would not want her body taken to a hospital. Angel despised hospitals.

Bonnie and Caroline were eventually called.  Caroline closed her eyes in horror. There were no word that she could say to make it better. Bonnie was the one who could feel the emptiness in the dead Petrova.

After releasing a breath, The Bennett tearfully muttered out the cause. “Her magic,” she mumbled. “Her magic is wiped clean from her.”

Elena sobbed harder.

That’s when Jeremy ran into the room. His reaction was the worst. Violent waves of crushing pain gushed from the boy, as he stared at his sister’s body. Elena reached for him, but he viciously shoved her pleading hands away from him before shoving Stefan away and cradling the girl’s body. His sister was dead. Angel was dead.

======================

Angel never had a funeral. Angel hated social gatherings, especially when she was the center of attention. So they chose to honor her wishes. Angel was buried deep in the forest where her body would forever be at rest.

Rebekah’s eyes were red from crying. Her face was wet, and her heart was tattered. Her brother was dead, and it was her old friend that committed the act. Her hands shook, as she opened the envelope that had her name written on it. It was in beautiful swirls of black ink. This was Angel’s hand writing. Taking a breath, she opened the letter, and out slid a necklace. It was her necklace. The one that she lost in Chicago. And on the letter, there were two words. And those words caused another sob to push through the Original’s throat.
