I began to pace back and forth around the spacious backyard. Shook would be the understatement of the century for how I feel right now.

I actually traveled from time. This can't possibly be real. I'm definitely dreaming right now.

"There you are nigga, what are you doing back here?" My older brother Myles came outside questioning. He took a look at my appearance. Causing me to do the same.

"Weren't you wearing something else a few minutes ago? And I don't remember you having a half grown beard." He wondered taking in my change of attire.

I just stood there hoping he'd let the obviously strange differences go. Even though I found all of this peculiar too.

"You know what? I did just pop two x pills so I'm probably tweaking." Myles said laughing the situation off.

Breathing a sigh of relief, I gave a nervous chuckle in return.

We walked into the house that was covered in Christmas decorations. I barely knew any of the people that took up the endless space in the bachelor pad.

To my recollection, this wasn't just any Christmas party. It was my brother's housewarming as well. In his words, he was also 'celebrating another year of being freed from the shackles of Tamara the bitch.'

Now if you ask me, I think Tamara was good for him. I'd never say that to his hot-headed ass though. It's extremely hard for him to face the truth. I guess it runs in the family.

"Aye man, what you thinking about so hard?" Myles asked snapping me out of my scattered thoughts.

"Nothing man, congrats on the House." Patting him on the shoulder I told Myles how proud of him I was. And just like I said before he somehow brought up Tamara.

"I mean I'm so damn glad it's been two years since I've seen her gold digging ass."

For someone, he's supposed to be over, he surely brings her up in every conservation. I wish I could say it was different in the present time but it isn't. He's still fucking a random chick every week to forget about her.

Still bringing her up here and there. The shit's far from healthy.

He kept talking, I tried to give advice even though I knew it wouldn't fully reach his ears. But everyone in the room disappeared when I saw her.

There she was the same way I remember. Just standing there with the most alluring eyes.

She had a dark green dress on that hugged her small curves perfectly. Long jet black hair flowed down her back. Her chocolate skin complexion was glowing.

Once she caught me staring, she smiled then disappeared into the crowd.

Making me notice everyone in the vicinity. The number of people here increased. Reminding me how popular my older brother is in our hometown. The typical star Athlete in High School. Now he's the star lawyer.

Even though he's extremely smart he makes terrible decisions. Like I said it runs in the family.

"I mean why is she such a bitch?" Myles asked more so to himself.
