Todd's POV:
Why isn't anyone showing up!? I thought, frustration going through me. I had covered every inch of town with the flyers and sitting at my desk, I couldn't help but feel a bit offended. I mean come on! You didn't even have to take a fitness test! That was a dark time. I was in these thoughts when I heard a double knock on my office door. I immediately straighten my posture and get a pad of paper and a pencil for taking notes. I cleared my throat before saying, "come in". As the door slowly opened, I held my breath. I wondered who wanted this job to be my partner, a detective. The door opened and I looked up from my papers to see A girl who looked to be about 15 maybe 14 years old. I frowned slightly. This is what I get? Some kid!? I wasnt expecting this. She walked up to my front desk." Hi! I'm here about the flyer, the job? " I pointed to a chair in the corner of the room. "Pull up the chair and we'll chat." She eagerly pulled up the chair in front on my desk and then sat down. I grabbed my pencil and paper. "So, what's your name kid?" I saw her tense when I called her a kid, but she quickly replied " Alexandria". "Ok, I'm going to ask you a few questions alright?" The girl, Alexandria I mean, leaned back in her chair. " Yep". After a few questions, I had all i needed. I decided since no one else showed up to let her on the team. "We're done here". I stated plainly. " Did I get the job? " she said hopefully. I opened my desk drawer and looked for something while Alexandria looked on anxiously. I handed her a badge. Show up here tomorrow at 7am, don't be late. " She jumped off the chair and squealed. She began talking really fast. " Thank you Sir! I won't let you down! I can't believe I'm a detective! Best day ever!! " I sighed. " Yea, now run along" I said making her walk happily out the door. "My partners is a kid!" I thought to myself. But I knew I would just have to get used to it. After all we were now partners in crime.
