Everythings Different Now

                                                              Alexandria's POV:
I ran home excitedly, feeling immortal. Like I could do anything, a 15 year old girl was now a detective! Talk about luck! I cant wait to get started. I was grateful the Mr. Polar let me be his partner. After all, I was only 15. My family will be so surprised! Wait.. I should wait until I get my ID card for proof. I am so happy! When I get home it's dinner time. In my room, I tell mouse everything. Mouse didn't seem to mind. I shine my badge before putting it under my pillow and going to sleep.
The next day, same time as yesterday I was headed inside the Detective Inc. I knocked on Mr. Polar's door. I heard a voice mumble "come in" and I strolled in, wearing my badge. Mr. Polar was staring at a shiny white laptop. When he saw me, he closed the laptop. "Alex, your my partner now, don't knock. Just come in." I nodded my head. Mr. Polar stood up and started talking and pointing around the room. He pointed to a desk next to his. "That's your desk. That is where you will spend most of your time. Feel free too customize it however you please. " I looked at the desk. It was a bit smaller then Mr. Polar's desk, but besides that, exactly the same. The thing that really got me excited was there was a brass name plate on my desk that said Detective Alexandria Williams. I smiled, and he continued to speak. " You will show up here every day from 9am to 7pm. "B- but, what about school?" I said nervously. " You can take online courses... I'm assuming you have a laptop? " " Yea I do. " I was thinking that my parents wouldn't be happy about me taking online courses just to be partners with a stranger. While I was zoneing out, Mr. Polar was on his laptop, enrolling me into online classes. "There done, see? Easy as pie." "Ohh I love pie" I said dreamily, Mr. Polar chuckled at this. The next hour or so I got my ID card and my uniform. I looked so cool! I headed home wearing my full uniform. When I got home, my mom and dad where both waiting for me. "Alex! Where-" my dad stoped in mid sentence, looking carefully at my uniform. " What. Are. You. Wearing. " I could see the dark aura seeping around him. This is there it gets tricky, but I had to put on a brave face. "I would like to introduce the newest member of the Detective Inc. And partners with Todd G Polar...Alexandria"! With that I took out my ID card and pointed to my badge. "I got a job as a detective!" My parents gasped and just stared. After a minute of this, my dad said "when...how?" " I got a job as a partner of a detective! Easy! " My mom looked me over. " But what about school? " My dad's face brightens. "Yes! No school, no job!" His eyes bore into mine, staring into my soul. " Take a chill pill! I'm doing online classes and I already applied so there's no going back! " My parents are shocked. My siblings enter the room. My brother rushed to me. " Cool! Are you a police officer now?! " My 6 year old sister Basil puts her hands on her hips. " No she is batgirl! " I face palm. Really?!  I sighed. " Guys look... I know you might be mad, but I need this. Please! I will still work hard online, and... yea.. " I  couldn't think of anything else to say. " ok". " I knew you would! " I said happily. From that day on, everyone in the  house treated me differently. I had gone back to school to say goodbye. Of course, my friends were angry, but I promised that we would hang out every week And still be best friends. They seemed to forgive me. And I  now have the respect i deserved, maybe.
