                                                                                Alexandria's POV:
Bored. That's all I had to say. I've been partners with Mr. Polar( who insisted I call him Todd) for 3 days now, and all we have done is sit in the office and do nothing. Well I was taking my online classes on my laptop,  but I was still bored. I sighed and turned to Todd. He was leaned back in his chair, looking just as bored as I was. " Todd, shouldn't we be solving crimes? " I said. Todd looked over at me, "Yea when a crime comes along." I wasn't sure if he was teasing, but I sighed and slumped in my chair. I looked at the time. Only 11:10 a.m! Uh! I thought about how lame today was, but if only I knew.
                                                         Todd's POV:
My poor partner was just as bored as I was, but I tried not to let it show. After all, I am a 25 year old man. But then there came a triple knock at the door, startling both me and my partner. The knock sounded desperate.  "Come in", I said hopeing it was my paycheck. The door burst open, there was a lady that looked in here early 30's. She had light brown hair and green eyes, which I noticed, we're red and swollen, like she had been crying. My partner and I exchanged curious glanced before I spoke. " What can we do for you miss? The women stood in front of my desk with a pleading look on her face. " My brother.. Was murderd!! " Broke down crying. Definitely not my paycheck. " I would have called to police, b- but I thought t-that a detective would be a-a better choice! " She said trying to calm down. I looked over to Alex, who tilted her head to the side. I learned she does that when she's confused. I was slightly confused too. If this lady would stop crying, we would know more. " When did this happen? " I asked the lady taking out a pen and a piece of paper. The lady stopped crying. " Today. I- I came home from grocery shopping about 5 minutes ago, my brother lives with me. I noticed the door was open. I went inside and I found him! " She shuddered.  Alex narrowed her brown eyes and stood up. " Don't worry miss! Me and my partner will find the guilty one! " Somebody is a little to up for an case. I stayed seated, "Does anyone else know?" She shook her head. I grabbed my car keys and my ID card, along with my brief case for things like this. " Take us there," I said standing up. Alex grabbed her ID card too. The woman nodded. " Oh thank you two! M- might i know your names? " The brass plates on our desks said our names. Alex pointed to our plates. " Ahem", she said in a rude manner. I gave her a warning look while the lady blushed with embarrassment. "Ok miss...? " Oh! " She said. " Lilly Dane. Call me Lilly. " Ok Lilly. Take us to the scene. Alex, grab the camera. Let's move out"!
                                                        Alexandria's POV:
I was in the passengers seat in Todd's car, as we followed Miss Danes car. While he was driving, Todd was giving me instructions on what to do. I was excited, my first case! A rather important one too! Todd notices I wasn't talking. " You gonna be ok in there?  What do you mean? I mean that we might see some stuff in there that.. Well a 14 year old doesn't want to see. " I crossed my arms. " 15 Todd. I'm 15 and I can handle it, I'm tough. " Todd pulls into Miss. Danes driveway. She gets out of her car and we do the same. The house is big and lavender colored. There are flowers everywhere. She comes to the door and pulls out a set of keys. She sighed a quivering breath before opening the door. I take a breath before we all walk inside. The house is clean. She must have children because I see a pair of child's shoes and some toys. I didn't see anything unusual, but Todd is alert. Eyes narrowed and looking into every corner. Miss. Dane leads us up a flight of stairs and too a door. " This is my brothers room. " She whispers. " This is where I found him. " My eyes widen and my heartbeat is so loud, that I'm sure that both adults could here it. At least I have a heartbeat, unlike the person on the other side of the door. She slowly opens the door and starts crying again. My eyes widen and I can hardly breathe.
