Todds POV:
As soon as we got back to Detective Inc, I told our boss about the murder case, and he gave the case to me and Alex to solve. Now, we were in our office looking at the pictures and samples we were able to collect.
I assigned Alex to find who's DNA the skin under the victims nails belonged too. She was working hard on her laptop, trying to figure out who it belonged to. "Any luck?" I walk behind Alex and peer at the screen. Alex sighs frustrated. " It's just not matching up! I thought we would be done by now! " It has only been 2 hours. Alex, some case's take up to 10 years to solve. " Alex groaned. "10 years!? I could be dead before then!" I laugh, " Well then your just going to have to work hard! " Alex perked up, " speaking of that, when do I get my paycheck!?" I roll my eyes, grinning. " You got your paycheck yesterday! " Oh...right. " What did you get for the tested soil? " Alex asks. I look at some files. " Leather polished with mink oil. How does what help!? " My eyes focused back on my computer screen. " Maybe we should have just followed the footprints and tried to hunt the murder down. "I said. Alex gave me a look. " Hey! We are DETECTIVES not the POLICE OFFICERS!...Although i don't see much difference between the too. "She's got a point there. "Maybe we could go back and check the woods? Maybe that's were they hid there weapons or something. Hmm, not a bad idea, but we have only about 5 more minutes until our shift is over." Tomorrow we will go back and take a look. " Alex looked determined. I just hope we can solve this murder before it's too late.
