Thalia's POV
"Coming! Just give me a minute!" I yell as I frantically put my hair in a messy bun. While I strugle to put my four inch heels on, I repeat my mantra : keep your head up otherwise he'll see how you really feel. And that can NEVER happen.
While I rush down the stairs with my bag and heels I try my best not to trip, which is highly unlikely for I am the mere definition of clumsy.. hell my life is hard!
My family and I are going to our lifelong friends' farm for a whole month. The Richards have always been like family to me and my two sisters. Even their family is our family. Except one cousin... but let's not go there right now, I'm not in the mood for tears.
"Move up Lizzy!" I push my little sister harshly to the other side of the car."Thaily, stop hurting me!" She exclaims with her cute soft voice. As I get seated in the left side of the car, she looks me up and down peculiarly. "You are looking and acting very strange today." She announces, eyeing me yet again. I want to respond that if she was seeing the guy she loves for the first time in a year, she would most probably also look and act different. Instead, I only respond with an eye roll.
While I plug my earphones in and jam to Taylor Swift's new album, my older sister, Clare gets in the car. Well, at least I'm not the only one looking as if we're on our way to a funeral ... most importantly, our OWN funeral.
With the music in my ears I almost miss my mom saying "I wish he can just open his eyes and see how they are made for each other!" And my father, replying with a comfortable tone, "Shawn has been through enough, give him time and he'll see her for who and what she is to him darling."
As the car picks up pace on the highway, my mind is clouded with worries. What will I say to Shawn? I can't just say "Hey there Shawni! I missed you so much, my heart was breaking everyday you weren't there. Oh and I cried myself to sleep because I knew you would never love me the same way I love you. How is school?" Hell nah. Never gonna happen. Damn I'm dumb! Why do you always have to fall for someone who'll never fall for you?
With all of that going through my mind, I slowly fall into a slumber filled with beautiful brown eyes, brown hair and the most precious smile.
