"So how was your holiday, Howell?" Carrie asked.
"It was alright," I shrugged.
"What'd you do?"
"He probably clung to his daddy's side all summer," Chris teased.
"Shut up, you spork," I scoffed as I punched his arm.
"Am I wrong?"
"I mean... no..."
"Did you two finally... y'know?" Sophie raised a brow.
"No, I'm not about to get him in trouble. We're waiting..."
"Well that's annoying."
"Yeah, a little bit, but I don't mind. He's worth it." I bit on my lips and giggled a bit. "Ugh, I miss him."
"How often did he say he'll come to visit?"
"As much as he can," I mumbled. "Did I mention that I miss him?"***
"Daniel Howell to the main office," the lady on the loud speaker said.
I gathered my things and headed down to he front office. I pulled open the door and let out a huff as I gave the receptionist a small wave.
"Why am I down here? Am I in trouble?" I asked.
"No, dear, you're getting picked up," she replied.
"What? Why?"
"I don't know, ask your cousin," she said.
"My what?"
"Sitting down," she pointed.I turned my head and found Phil sitting there with a smug smile on his face. I cracked a smile and shook my head in disbelief. I rolled my eyes and signed out as quickly as I could.
I waved goodbye to the office people and ran out the door of the school. Phil followed me, but eventually caught up to me and pulled me back by my backpack. I fell back on him and let out a laugh—jesus fuck I've missed him.
"Give me your backpack," he said.
"Why?" I asked.
"Cause it's heavy and you've been carrying it all day. Let me take it."
"If you insist," I teased.I took it off and handed it over to him. He tossed it into his backseat before opening the passenger door for me. Once he climbed in and started the car, he caught me off guard with a kiss.
"So, where do you wanna go?" he smiled.
"I don't care, as long as I'm with you."
"Jeez, cheesy much, Howell?"
"Shut up," I smirked as I hit his arm.
"Seriously, where do you want to go?"
"It really doesn't matter."
"If you say that one more time, you're going back inside that building."
"Fine, fine, what about your house?"
"Fine by me."He sped off to his house and quickly pulled into the driveway. We got out of the car and raced each other to the front door. Once we clamored inside, we slammed the front door, and shoved our way to the couch. I fell over the armrest and pulled Phil down with me—in the process, we both kicked over the side table. The lamp fell and crashed into what seemed like a million pieces—I looked over Phil's shoulder and cringed a bit.
"Oh, my bad," I blushed.
"Don't worry about it," he said as he kissed me.
"But–"
"Shh, it's fine, trust me."He eased me into a slow kiss, one I couldn't help but smile into. I wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him closer. I shifted my hips and accidentally ground our hips together. I let out a quiet whimper into his mouth, but tried to kiss him deeper. Phil hesitantly pulled away and held himself up with his arms.
"Phil..." I whined. "Please..."
"No, baby, I'm sorry... I can't..."
"Why not?"
"Because, stupid, you're only fourteen."
"Yeah, and?"
"You know, in good conscience, I could never do anything before you're of age..."
"But I'm giving you consent."
"I don't care. I love you enough to wait until you're sixteen."
"Yeah, well, I wanna do stuff now," I complained.
"How about a kiss?"
"Phil," I sighed. "Please?"
"I can slip you a little tongue, if you want," he teased.
"Slip me something, for God's sake!" I chuckled.
"Lean back," he smirked as he rolled his eyes.He pecked my lips a few times before placing a few kisses down my neck. I whined and flinched a bit first before Phil held me down. He sucked a light hickey into my collarbone and smiled at his work.
"Hey! How am I gonna hide this?" I pouted.
"You wanted it," he shrugged.
"Ugh, I hate you," I frowned.
"No, you don't."
"Well, I do."
"Pfft, you keep saying how much you want to have sex, but then you can barely handle stuff like this," he teased. He placed one more kiss on my lips before sitting back on his feet. He laid down next to me and wrapped his arm around me. I put some of my weight back onto him as his grip grew stronger. He kissed the back of my head and cracked a small smile.
"Happy one year," I mumbled.
"Happy one year," he laughed. "I love you."
"Mm, I love you too, I guess."
"Do you have a kiss for daddy?"
"Ew, don't call yourself that," I said.
"Why not?" he chuckled.
"Cause it's weird."
"I disagree."
"Well, that's your opinion."
"You'll learn to like it."
"Doubt it."
"Whatever, can I get my kiss?"
"I guess."I titled my head back to meet his sweet lips. I cracked a genuine smile before looking into his beautiful eyes. I took a second to realize how fucking lucky I really was.
"Phil..."
"Yes?"
"Are you gonna pick up that lamp before your mum gets home?"
"I probably should, huh?" he smirked.
"Probably."
"Hey, wanna go lamp shopping?"
"How else would you spend an anniversary?" I teased.
"Shut up and let's go."He hopped off the couch and dragged me with him. I tripped over myself with a huff before Phil somehow caught me.
"You should learn this thing sometime. It's called balance."
"Oh yeah, you're one to talk."
"Shut up and start my car."
"Shut up and start my car," I mocked.
"Get going before I slap you." He raised a brow.I stuck my tongue out as I jutted my ass out to him. He rolled his eyes and gave me a slight tap. I let out a quick giggle before managing to find his keys in the key bowl.
"What would you do if I just drove off with your car?" I asked.
"I'd have to have you arrested, I guess."
"Mm, but wouldn't you be scared I'd become someone else's bitch?"
"Just shut up and start my car," he laughed.
"Hmm, what if I don't wanna?"
"Go start daddy's car? Won't you, baby?"
"Ew, knock it off, I'm going."I walked out the door and let it close behind me. Phil stood there, laughing to himself as he went to go pick up the broken lamp pieces.
"Jesus, I love that boy."
