Chapter XI: Crumbling Mountain

"Yes, you will," said Bright Light. "Silent Paw, is going to watch you pups, while I go out for a stroll." Bright Light called to Silent Paw before leaving the camp.

"Snow, where are you going?" said a fox. Bright Light turned around. A transparent star filled shimmering fox was behind her.

"Don't be afraid, my name is Mountain Heart," said the fox. "I am the first fox of MountainRange to die and the first leader. I'm telling you something, Snow. I need you to tell all the foxes in your Range that the mountain is crumbling. You need to move. Your mate and your pups lives are in danger. If you don't, the Range will have to face the murderers."

"What murderers?" asked Bright Light. Mountain Heart twitched his ear.

"Rage and Fury will come down upon you. Don't be fooled by the looks of a gorgeous Ruby. These foxes are menaces," said Mountain Heart. Bright Light nodded her head.

"I gave you that vision when you were an apprentice," he said, reading her thoughts. "That is what will happen to your Range if you do not move, Snow. Do you understand?"

"Yes, but why are you calling me Snow?" asked Bright Light.

"Because Water, Sky, Fire and Snow will become one before the mountain falls." Mountain Heart said as he faded away.

"Dark Breeze, Dark Breeze!" shouted Bright Light.

"What's wrong, Bright Light?" asked the Range leader.

"We have to move. The mountain is crumbling," Bright Light said. "If we don't leave, we will have to face fury and rage, with a deceptive ruby. We have to go."

"I don't think that is wise," Doe leap was behind her. "We can't take a young Storm Foxes word just because she's afraid."

"Mountain Heart came to me," Bright Light explained. "We must go. He said I'm the snow in Fire, Water, Sky, and Snow will become one before the mountain falls."

"The prophecy,"said Little Song. "We have to leave. Today. Dark Breeze, howl a distress call."

"Foxes of MountainRange, come and hear my words. We have to move. The Mountain is crumbling," Dark Breeze called to her Range the darkness was starting.
