"I was only trying to protect you from him, darling. I was only trying to keep you safe.
"The darkness cannot be beaten, the evil cannot be stopped. You if all people should know this, darling.
"After all, it always lives in the hearts of people like him.
"They are mindless machines who will do anything for a little food and a place to call home. You and I, together, can rid this world of filthy rouges and restore balance to our kind. Together, we will bring peace to all."
I broke my hard gaze from Jax to Fallon. His eyes were pleading, begging me to understand, but I knew him better than that. I knew that this was all just a facade to lure me in and get my power.
He didn't want to bring peace.
He was the mastermind of destruction.
"You expect me to just give you my neck after everything you've done?" I laughed out.
"I saved your life." He snapped.
"How?!
"By stealing my freedom? My mind? My identity?" I snapped at him.
"You honestly think you're alive right now because you were strong enough to survive?
"No. You're alive right now because of what I did to save you!" He said angrily, pointing his finger at me.
"I will never belong to you," I growled out.
He just let out a huff of annoyance and rolled his eyes.
"Don't kid yourself, darling, you always have.
"You let me violate your justice. You let me desecrate what you love. You let me penetrate your soul. You let me crush everything that you held dear.
"You think you can still be free from me? Think again.
"I own your soul.
"You can't fight that."
A rush of adrenaline coursed through my veins, a wave of ferocity, unlike anything I have ever felt before. It was a calm, collected wave of anger, one that didn't ignite my blood, but almost froze it instead. It wasn't the normal fire-burning anger that stemmed from my wolf, nor was it a complete open-minded sense of numbness that came from my powers. It was like I was feeling both of them together for the first time, intertwining as one.
I looked down at my hands to see my nails growing longer, sharper. I could feel my canines elongating with the sadistic smirk that was tugging at my lips. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see my wavy bleach blondehair getting lighter and lighter until it was completely white. The photoreceptors in my eyes started to shift, changing everything into an array of blues, greens, and yellows.
Hundreds upon hundreds of wolves began to flood into the small hallway, circling around me.
Most of them were males that were twice my size, but that didn't matter to me. Most of them were omegas, warriors, lesser wolves than I.
With my gaze fixed on the ground, I opened my hands so that my palms were facing up. I closed my eyes, channeling the energy around me, letting it take root inside of me. When I felt everything click into place, I felt a rush of wind flow by me. I slowly lifted the lids of my eyes to see Fallon staring at me in disbelief. As I rose my fingers higher, around 15 wolves rose in the air with them.
My smile broadened, as did Fallon's eyes. I narrowed my gaze, slowly closing my finger into a fist.
"Are you sure about that?" I asked slowly.
