Chapter 10: Land of Gold

What I saw in front of me was nothing. Just crust. Dry, dusty, brown, empty, crust. All of my hopes had just dropped. I know the Doctor said to keep in mind this was possible, but you can’t really control what you hope for. After a long moment of silence, I looked up at the Doctor, still hopeful they might be somewhere.

“Maybe they’re just somewhere else, like, in an underground entrance or the other side of the planet. They have to be somewhere! I can’t be alone!” I tugged on his sleeve, tears forming in the corners of my eyes.

He looked at me sympathetically. “I guess we could look. It’s going to be fine Kaitlin.” he took my hand in his and we started to walk.

After we had been walking for about two hours of finding absolutely nothing, we finally did find something. A box. Just a little brown, wooden box. We both noticed it at the same time and ran for it.

The Doctor soniced it. I stared at him.

He looked at me. “What?”

“Are you going to tell me what it is?” I asked.

“As far as I can tell it’s just a box.” He said. We both just stared at.

All the sudden it popped open. We both jumped. I looked inside, there was a letter.

I took the letter before he could. When I tried to look at it, he stole it from my hands.

DOCTOR’S POV:

I stole the letter from Kait’s hands and tried to read it, but I couldn’t it was a language the TARDIS didn’t know, and apparently they forgot to teach us. I stared at it. Trying to figure out how to translate the letter.

Kait stole it back from me. “No use, it’s a very, very old language that not even I or the TARDIS knows.” I said as she started to look at it. She made a really weird face. Like she was a little child trying to figure out the square root of pi, which is 1.7724538509055160272898167483341. (Yes, that is the real thing. I have it memorized for season 4: Midnight. When sky is copying the Doctor)

“Doctor……” she kept looking at the letter.

“What. What is it?”

“I can read this. These symbols. It’s like they’re being sent to me. To my head. I can hear a voice.” She looked really scared. Her eyes had changed colors.

“It’s okay, it’s probably something telepathic. What is it telling you? What is that voice telling you?” I kept pushing her for answers. This could be extremely important.

KAITLIN’S POV:

The symbols in my head were clear as day. The voice was reading it out loud for me. The Doctor was like yelling at me. My mind was overloading. The message said: If you reading this, you must be Kaitlin. Probably looking for us. For information. There isn’t much we can tell you at this point. All we can say, is that you need to get the Doctor to the planet ‘Falin-gyre’. There, there will be someone to tell you everything. Like how we know who you are. ~You’re father.

The Doctor was still yelling at me and everything was fading. Before I knew everything was black. I felt fine, no dizziness, just blackness. Something was happening. And there was nothing I could do. My eyes were wide open, but still, just the dark.

“Doctor.” I croaked. About to cry.

He finally shut up and even though I couldn’t see, I could tell he was looking at me. “What is it?” He asked gently.

“I can’t see. Why can’t I see?” I felt a tear go down my cheek. My skin was getting cold. Really cold.

“Kait? Are you okay?” he asked.

“No, why is it so cold? And dark? What’s happening?”

*That's it for today! I will try to port alot more! I'm going for every 3-5 days. I will be able to post more when I get back to school because I will have more time. It's summer and I get kind of busy. The video just kind of fits to me. And the picture is what it looked like when the came out of the TARDIS.
