Chapter 2- Big News!

(Thomas's POV)

          "Thomas! Come down I need to tell you something." I hear my mom yell from downstairs.

          "I'm coming mum!" I quickly run down the stairs to see what's going on. "Yes?" I say as I finally get to her. 

          "How would you like to be in a movie?" My mom said happily.

          "Really?!" I ask my mom making sure she's not joking with me.

          "Yes! They want you to be in the movie Love, Actually". I jump in joy knowing that my dreams have came true in becoming an actor.

          "Of course, I want to be in this movie." I say hugging my mom. "Why did they pick me?" I ask looking up at her.

          "I don't know maybe your Papa did something." My mom explained. I then realized I should probably tell (y/n). "Wait mum, I need to go and tell (y/n). Can I go to her house for a little bit?"

         "Yes, of course. You need to tell your best friend everything." My mom says. I rush out of the house and run to her house which is a few streets away. Out of breath, I finally reach her house and ring the door bell. 

          "Oh hi Thomas." (y/n)'s mom says.

          "Hi Ms. (y/l/n). Could I talk to (y/n)? I have some news to tell her." I say looking around inside her house seeing if I can spot her. 

          "Oh sure. Let me just let her know your here. You can head towards the back yard. I'll tell her to meet you there." She says. I head towards the backyard and decide to sit on the grass while I wait for her. 

          "Hi Thomas." (y/n) says as she is already in her pajamas. "How come your here?"

          "I need to tell you some exciting news." I tell her starting to get jumpy. She walks fast and sits rights next to me.

          "What happened?" She says as her eyes are going wide.

         "I just found out today that i'm gonna be in the movie Love, Actually!" I say excitedly. (y/n) screams a little and looks shocked.

          "Oh my gosh, really Thomas?" 

          "Yeah really." Me and (y/n) were still trying to take in all the big news and I haven't realized that we've been talking all night. We ended up laying on the grass tired from all of the screaming and jumping.

          "That's brilliant Thomas but doesn't that mean you won't be coming to school for a long time?" (y/n) says.

          "Yeah probably since i'm in a few scenes." I say. I notice that (y/n) starts to get sad knowing that her best friend won't be at school with her. "Hey" I say trying to lighten the mood. "I'll make sure I send you videos and pictures of the set, so you will feel like your there with me." 

          "Thanks Thomas" she says. " You know I should give you a nickname because I bet when your done with the movie you're gonna get so many fan girls. There gonna be like Oh My Gosh It's Thomas!" She says acting like one of those girls. I start to laugh and she catches on. 

          "What are you gonna call me then?" I ask her.

           "What about?.....Tommy" (y/n) says.

          "Yeah, that sounds find to me." I tell her. 

         "I like that name it suits you." She smiles

         "Thanks, my cousins used to call me that all the time." 

         "You know Tommy." She say emphasizing that name. "You're gonna have a lot of work to catch up on when you get back from your movie."

          "I know." I say covering my eyes with my arm thinking about all of the work I have to do when I go back to school. "Well that's why I have a friend like you to help me." I say smiling at her.

          "It's okay you don't have to bribe me with your smile, i'll help you anyway." She says catching on to what I was trying to do. 

          "Thank you." I tell her. She turns her head and just smiles at me. I always adored her smiles and sometimes I wish I could just capture it on camera.
