Darren stared at me and took a deep breath bracing himself for revealing the story of his past. We were all sitting in a circle on the floor now, even little Bianca. Her whole demeanor had changed from when she first spoke to me, and all in all it was very confusing,  before she was bubbly and happy but now she was acting as if nothing existed including herself. Jeremy frowned at me as I looked up, i'm guessing he heard my thoughts, but even if he did, he still wasn't explaining what was wrong with the little girl. I shook my head, I was done caring about these people, no one cared about men so why should I try?  I could feel Jeremy's glance on the side of my face, but I stayed focused on Darren so he could tell this damn story and get it over with already.

"Alright.. uh.... well I guess I should start with a little introduction. I'm Darren Dark, that's Jeremy Dark, and she's Bianca Dark and we are the original descendants of the Immortal Dark Pack." Wow, I thought to myself, they are the Alpha's children yet here they are, outside of pack lines and alone. Jeremy gave me a wry grin at that and I sighed coming to the realization that I would never again be able to find solitude in my thoughts or think privately with him around for that matter, not that I would be around him for much longer or anything.

"There are a lot of reasons we ended up in this position and ultimately every single one begins, ends, and or can be traced back to me." He said with a strangled kind of chuckle after that. It was strange in the short time I've know him he's seemed happy, playful and even the slightest bit cocky but never self-loathing, like I was. "Alright here it goes....."

*****FLASHBACK***** Darren's P.O.V.

I strutted into my high school and greeted several girls with winks earning me giggles, sighs and even a couple of fainting spells, but what can I say? That kind of stuff happens to me all the time. To say I was the king of Clearwater High School would be a drastic understatement. I walked over to my brother's locker and he was there talking to one of his other nerdy friends, this one just happened to be our mousy step-brother Xavier. "Where's my homework Jeremy?" I questioned, waiting for my AP Bio Homework to be placed in my hands. He scowled and handed it to me slamming his locker shut and grabbing Xavier's arm as they walked down the hallway huddled together. It bothered me that Jeremy liked Xavier more than me, although it seemed like he was the only one in the whole world that did. Me and Jer used to be close but when Mom died in a war between the packs and Dad got re-married because we needed a Luna, I lost my Mom and my brother as him and Xavier became inseparable.

Jeremy would tell Xavier all about the powers that he got and everything ,the little, I knew came from Dad. Dad always told me that although I was a strong wolf , one of the strongest he had seen in his time, if it came down to it Jeremy would beat me because he was a Spirit Wolf. It had hurt my feelings as I had trained my whole life but from what I've read on the Spirit Wolf I knew it was true. I couldn't believe that of all people to share the information with, Jeremy chose Xavier.  Xavier was nothing but a stupid little loser with no life and no friends other than my brother, he was simply a stupid weakling and to have his name even associated with mine made me shudder. The more I thought about it the more I realized that Xavier was the one who ruined my life and my relationship with my brother.  If it wasn't for him I would have never started treating my brother so horribly and I knew exactly what to do to get him back.

When lunch rolled around I scanned the cafeteria for Jeremy and Xavier, just like I expected Xavier was staring at the little human girl Lucy, it was obvious to all werewolves that she was his mate, and now she was my perfect revenge plan.

(Several Weeks Pass Still In Darren's P.O.V.)

My plan worked exactly like I knew it would, I swept the little human girl off her feet and crushed Xavier in the process. I knew Xavier found out what happened between me and Lucy because my scent was all over her. It would probably stick for a few days because although I'm not her mate, I happen to be quite a strong wolf.  I chuckled to myself happy to have ruined Xavier's life when I headed to my brother's locker. Jeremy wasn't there and neither was Xavier, there was absolutely nowhere else the two nerds would be. Well if they weren't at school then I'm sure as hell not gonna stay?****

When I headed home the scene in front of me made me want to throw up. My dad, the strong alpha of the Immortal Dark Pack,  was dead, his body sprawled across the floor, blood spattered around the room. I tried to gather myself and went to search for Bianca because if I couldn't protect my Dad,  I knew that I just had to save my sister. I ran to Bianca's bedroom and found her cowering in the corner, clutching her stuffed pony as Jeremy and Xavier argued. "What the hell is going on?" I said my voice not as strong as I wanted it to be, after the shocking sight of my dad's body.

Xavier turned to me and the look on his face was vicious, his eyes were black and he even seemed to be foaming at the mouth. "You, this is all your fault and you'll be the next to go. Your idiot father shouldn't have raised you and that's why he had to be dealt with." Xavier hissed. He didn't seem human anymore or wolf-like for that matter. I was never scared of Xavier before because I always knew that I was stronger but the look in his eyes and his clenched fists scared even me.

"Xavier please calm down, I'm sure that we can talk about this." Jeremy whispered, and I could feel his attempts to sway Xavier's mood with his powers. "Jeremy, you are my friend and I don't want to hurt you but you need to get the hell out of my way right now.  Hell, I'll even spare your sister if that's what you want." Xavier said turning to Jeremy in a tone slightly less malicious. "Darren, I want you to take Bianca and run and I'll hold X off for as long as I can." Jeremy said looking me in the eyes for the first time since him and Xavier had become friends.

I followed his instructions, grabbed Bianca, and ran before Xavier could react, faster than I had ever run before. I sprinted out of the house and into the forest with my sister in my arms.  I could hear Jeremy following behind us and only him. We all got to the clearing and Jeremy looked at me. "Being the Spirit Wolf has its perks but it's only going to slow Xavier down,  it'll never stop him." He reported solemnly. The severity of what I caused suddenly hit me.

I had just managed to indirectly kill my father, ruin my sisters childhood and make us homeless rogues all in one shot. Still, Jeremy had saved me and the family and stuck by me when he could have easily taken Xavier up on his offer.  I looked into Jeremy's eyes, sorrow pooling in my own, and whispered two words, "I'm sorry".

****END FLASHBACK****

(Back To Analyia's P.O.V)

I looked at Darren and then at Jeremy, and then let my gaze shift to Bianca. My Goddess, I think I may have just found another group of people just as screwed up, if not more, than I am.
