You looked at Corvo, and noticed a frown on his face.
"Corvo...? What's wrong?"
"Something feels...off...it's probably nothing too troublesome."You nodded, not entirely sure if you believed him or not. He wouldn't lie to you..right? A frown decorated your face as you thought of what your Outsider said.
Corvo sighed, he was quite fond of you, and didn't want to lose you to the Outsider. He moved some hair from your eye gently, and stared deeply into your eyes. You blushed lightly.
There were shouts from down the hall, and both of your heads snapped towards the noise. All of a sudden, a tall man in a red coat stalked down the hallway at a quick pace. He was being followed by three assassins, who were trying to talk reason into him.
"Daud, please!"
"Slow down!"
"What happened?"
The one named Daud pushed them away and stalked right up to Corvo. You shrunk back in fear, and Corvo glared at him, stepping in between the two of you.
You held onto Corvo's arm, and gave Daud a scared look. Daud gave you a look, and nodded at you. Confusion swept over both you and Corvo, and you dropped your guard.
The first assassin shoved Corvo out of the way and grabbed you. You yelped in surprise, and the assassin knocked you out.
The other two kept Corvo busy as Daud and the first assassin ran, with Daud carrying you. He shouted orders to his men, telling them to keep Corvo busy as long as they could to give himself more time to escape.
When they got far enough away that it would take even Corvo awhile to find them, Daud frowned at the assassin that knocked you out.
"I didn't want you to knock the Broad out."
The two assassins shared a look.
"What?"
"Well....you said the Outsider told you to keep her away from Corvo, right?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, doesn't that mean he's sort of....I dunno....claimed her? Or something?"
Daud frowned. "Ah shit..."
