At first she thought he was joking and waited for him to break out into laughter. But that didn't happen. Instead, Armaan stood up straight. He gently grabbed her by the arms and turned her around to face him, pulling her closer. She didn't resist it either. Not that she could have even if she wanted to. His well-built masculine figure was too strong for her small, slightly plump one. He looked at her right in the eye.

"You asked me why I came back early from Boston right? It wasn't because I missed New York. It was because I missed you." One side of his lips curled up into a smile. "The same way you missed me."

Samara was dumbstruck. "And why would I miss you?"

"Could be two reasons. Either you love me, or you love me."

She was trying so hard to hide how red and warm her cheeks had become, but damn. The man's piercing brown gaze could see right through her. Her heart was palpitating. She slightly bit her lower lip in order to fight the urge to smile. Armaan couldn't help but shift his gaze to her lips. He placed his hands on the side of her neck and ran his thumb over her jawline, before it finally moved towards her lips. They were lusciously full, soft and smooth. The warmth of his fingers felt so good over her cold skin. She gulped as her throat started to become dry. Her knees were giving up and she felt like she was about to fall, but even if she did, she would end up in his arms. He had his other hand wrapped around her waist.

They could not resist it any further. Armaan brought himself closer and the tip of his cold nose touched hers before he tilted his head slightly and kissed her. She didn't hesitate either. Her hand involuntarily wrapped themselves around his waist. They shared a passionate kiss for a good long minute before both pulled apart, although still not satisfied. But they got a grip on themselves at last. They had to. Or else something much grave would've ended up happening.

It took a while for them to soak in what just happened.

"Got my answer." He smirked.

Armaan inhaled sharply, preparing himself for what he was about to say next.

"As much as I was opposed to the idea of marriage, no one has ever compelled me this much to change my opinion Samara." He moved away from her slightly. Samara's heart did a somersault as she already had an inkling of what he was about to do next. She opened her mouth to say something but could not.

The next thing that happened was something neither of them ever imagined could happen, until that night. Armaan Yasir got down on his knees.

"I don't think I've ever loved anybody as much as I love you. I don't think I can spend my life with anybody but you. But I know that you're the person I've been looking for all my life. The one who'll hold my hand and walk beside me. The one whose smile I'll wake up to every morning. And the one who'll love me for what I am, for the rest of my life." He paused for a while.

"I don't know if you believed whatever I just said, but it came straight from here." He placed a hand over his chest, on his heart. "But if you did, Samara Wasim, will you marry me?"

To say she was shocked would be an understatement. Samara had absolutely no idea how to react. She looked at the man in front of her, knowing very well how much she loved him. Now she knew that he loved her back too. But was that really enough to commit into a life-long relationship?

Before she could get the chance to respond, Armaan got up and smiled.

"Don't worry. I don't need an answer right away. Take your time. I can wait for you my entire life." He cupped her cheeks and placed a kiss on her forehead, then turned around and left. Samara closed the door let out a heavy breath of relief. Now that he was gone, she smiled wide and bright, and nothing could wipe away that smile from her face. She definitely wasn't going to get any sleep that night.
