chapter ten

The cafe across from the court house roar with applause when Joshua came through the door,
"Hooray for Joshua" Someone said he wave with a smile,
"Thank you" he bow "such a honer " 
"Congratulations Josh" Sonia said when he sat down
"Thank you"
"I was starting to think Jon was  the only one you had strength for" Betty tease
Joshua smile
"Josh I felt as if though I haven't seen you in a long while, you look well it seems now that Samantha is living in your house you look even better" Rita remarks, speaking of Samantha how are things with you two?"
"Samantha is great, everything is fine between us" Joshua answer, "so you all know now that Samantha is living with me?"
"Sonia said it" Rita told him
"Wouldn't it be better Sonia to get a loud speaker"
"My voice is good thank you".
Jon was sitting across from them soon as Joshua came in all his focus went to him, "Samantha is expecting my baby" Joshua said
" Well congratulations Mr Dale you're going to be a father again soon" Sonia said
"Are you excited?" Betty ask
"I am I think Samantha is too"
"Her first child?" Rita ask
Joshua nod taking his briefcase off the ground he opened it on the table to retrieve the ring box,
Jon ease from his chair to see as Joshua opened the ring box,
"Wow!" Rita exclaimed, "is that a engagement ring?" She ask
Joshua nod
"You're finally going to ask her to marry you?" Betty ask
Taking the ring to have a better look"
"Its beautiful" Sonia told him "she's going to say yes soon as she sees this ring"
"Sam isn't that hard to please she'll say yes no matter the size of the ring, anyway I have got to go," Joshua said, Sonia, mark see you at the office, Rita, Betty,and  the rest of you see you around " Joshua  left heading back to his office his cellular phone rang as he close the door and sat at his desk, Samantha had call to ask about his case congratulating him when he told her he had won, he talk with her for awhile saying good bye when a call came on his office line, someone was looking for him to defend her in court, he let his Secretary take her information and make an appointment of when he could see her, tomorrow he has to be in court for another hearing for the rest of this week he was booked for court, some of the cases were Miner cases, wounded, insurance, driving tickets, in which his lawyer were guilty but got off with paying a fine, one was to do community service for six months but nothing meager, After work on Friday Joshua have dinner with the woman he is to be representing in court, he was in the middle of a discussion with her when Jon came to a stop at his table with perry by his side,
"Mr Dale" Jon said
"Jon" Joshua reply "how can I assist you?" He ask
"How is your expecting mother and wife to be?" Jon ask, Joshua  laugh, he knew Jon was thinking other wise seeing him with this woman, he probably think he was cheating on Samantha,
"You know Jon the last time I check Samantha was doing fine" he haven't ask her to marry him as yet he didn't find the right time but that wasn't Jon business to know, he was looking from him to the young woman sitting with him smirking,
"Any ways, We are just here for dinner perry and i, please carry-on don't spoil dinning because of me"
Joshua held up a finger to silence Jon as he reach in his jacket to get his phone, a call was coming in from Samantha,
"Hey" Joshua said "is everything alright?" He ask
Samantha was just in need of Joshua wanting him home, he told her he'll  come home right away agreeing to meet with the woman on Monday,
"Thank you so much Mr Dale for taking my case" she said and they shook hand, "Mr Smith, miss perry you do enjoy you meal" Joshua said nodding at them before taking his things to leave,
Jon was disappointed for he thought she was a lover to Joshua, he look at the girl shook his head taking perry hand leading her further down to their table,
"In spite of the discomfort in Samantha's tummy she was longing to be love by Joshua she read Aden his bedtime story before walking him to his room, she took a long shower got dress in her sexy pink lace underwear and see through nighty, apply some sweet cologne then got back in bed, the sound of Joshua's foot steps coming up the last few steps coming towards the bedroom made her body tingle with delight, he came and lean his back on the door dram, Samantha sat up and he walk to the bed lean over and kiss her, " how are you?"
"Fine, you?"
"Better than you"
Samantha smile,
"Have you eaten?" Joshua ask
"Yes" Samantha answer,
He kiss her again rubbing her thigh, he sat with his head on her chest for a while as she rub her palm over it, he got to his feet,
"Not comfortable?" She ask
"I was fine I'll be awhile in my office"
"Don't go" Samantha said holding him back "doctor did say it was OK to have sex in spite the pain, I'm longing for you josh" Joshua nod Smiling he too was longing for her glad to make use of the opportunity, he didn't wait to do anything else,
After a week of no love Joshua felt he became a desperate man he love her a lot more than he ever love her before, he hug her body to him, feeling the warmth of her naked body the heat between her thighs, as her leg wrapped around him, they were the same when she woke up Saturday morning, He was hard resting on her thigh, he open his eyes on feeling himself going inside of Samantha as he sank into her
She smile at him "I couldn't resist" she whispered, making him smile,rolling over so he could be on her,
After loving her he lay gazing at her,
"What's that look in your eyes?" Samantha asked
"Samantha I want you to marry me"
"Ah" Samantha said easing up to look at him, "you are asking me to marry you?"
"Yes Samantha"
"Josh you don't have to rush because of the baby, I can totally understand you have to do this from your heart since your wife died you haven't given anyone but me I didn't get pregnant to drag you in to marriage"
"Samantha I am doing it from my heart the same way I want to hear yes from your heart"
"Yes, yes Joshua I'll marry you I love you"
Joshua and Samantha were both excited and couldn't wait to share with Aden he was at breakfast when they found him Aden haven't seen Samantha out of her room for a week only to go to the terrace for hair"
"Mom" he called attempt to get up and go to her,
"Remain where you are" Samantha told him they sat to tell him about the marriage and the baby,
" I'm going to be a brother " he giggle,
"Yes" they both tell him, "and a perfect big brother" Samantha said
"You're going to teach him to play baseball"
"I'm having a brother yes!"
"Don't get a head of yourself now son" Joshua said "we don't know just if it is going to be a brother or sister"
"Sister!? Aden ask " then who is going to play baseball game with me? "
"Your dad will continue to do so" Samantha said laughing a loud on seeing the look on his face, she hug him kissing him, "Aden a sister can be anything a brother can be"
Aden find it hard to believe much as he hope for a brother he pray if it is a sister she'll be able to toss and pitch and bat ball just like he can,
"She accept my proposal she said yes we are going to get married" Joshua whispered into mark ear, when he join him in court Monday morning, Joshua was helping mark work on a case they were both a poaching the bench but Joshua couldn't control his excitement,
"Shhh" mark said
"Do you need some time Mr Brisco?" The judge ask
"No sir"
"You Mr Dale want to share?"
"I was saying to my partner that I got engaged sir"
"Is this the place to talk a bout your engagement Mr dale, or you trying the case?"
"Sir try the case" Joshua answered, he went inside his briefcase for some evidence that he presented, Mark was surprise he got so much evidence to be able to won the case, mark was all smiles when the lawyer prosecuting client was found guilty, he smile and nod at Joshua,
"Court is dismissed" the judge said Joshua was walking away, when the judge stop him, "by the way Mr Dale, congratulations on your engagement wish you luck"
"Thank you, thank you" Joshua said with a nod,
"Let's celebrate" mark told him hugging him around his neck as they walk out the court room,
Jon could tell the case was over and done with from the smile on mark Brisco's face Jon haven't seen him smile so much since he took the case he learn that Joshua was helping him on the case for the last two weeks, when the case had just came up they had wanted him to defend Mark's client but with all the evidence he didn't believed that he would have won, so he didn't take the case,
"To us" mark said holding up his glass,
"Team work" Joshua said placing his hand on Mark's shoulder Rocking and shaking,
"To you josh and your engagement Samantha has said yes to his proposal" mark said
"That's great" Rita told him kissing his cheek "congratulations, you deserve all the happiness you can get"
"To Samantha and Joshua" Betty said and they all lift their glasses,
They were in the heart of celebrating with a lot of cheers and applauds,  chatting loudly and enjoying themselves when Joshua phone rang,
"Quiet" he told them  "My wife to be is calling" he said makes Jon turn around facing them completely,
Hey Sam " Joshua said on opening the line putting it on speaker "
"Josh, hey how are you"
"Good so far, you?"
"I'm still here I'm alright"
"Good to know"
"How was court today?"
"We finally got a verdict,mark had won the case, so what are you doing"
"Driving home" Samantha answered,
"Why are you feeling sick?"
"No but my appointment had to change her schedule for tomorrow morning, I have nothing to do and really could use a little bother" Samantha said Joshua giggle
They all turn to look at him
"Its just a pity you are so tied up at work"
"Who said that I am I'll be home before you know it" Joshua told Samantha he was telling her later and telling them later at once,
"Remember we are going to have a celebration right here tomorrow night eight pm sharp, please share" Betty said she Rita and Sonia kiss his cheek, along with the others they watch him leave almost running out the cafeteria,
"I think he's really in love" Rita smile
"Yes he's in love" Sonia said and the others couldn't disagree,
Samantha was surprise to see Joshua in the drive way a head of her, Samantha smile at him hugging him she stand still gazing into his lovely pair of dark eyes, "you said you could use some body to bother you"
"That's what I said, the day is hot let's take a shower together" Samantha suggested without anything else said Joshua lift her off inside the house, they both called out to ms Davis and Alfred that they were home, ms Davis was in the kitchen, on hearing them she leave what she was doing and went out into the living room, it had sounded as though it was from the first floor the calling came but she didn't see them, ms Davis was starting to think she was loosing her mind until she step out and saw their car parked in the drive way, she figure they must had used the elevator and was in their room,
"Oh josh" Samantha cried out, holding tightly to him, pulling him down for a kiss,
"You liked it?"Joshua ask
" loved it" Samantha said with a giggle, "I felt we hardly do this anymore"
"Remember you're with child"
"How can I for get when I'm been kicked and kicked so often"
"Are you mad about it?"
"Not yet but wait until I can't do this" Samantha pull Joshua down wrapping her legs around him, they made love another time, they were just about done and took a shower when Aden came home they met him in the living room soon as he burst through the door,
"Mom, Dad!" he said running to them, "you both came early today is everything alright?"
"Yes" Joshuah answered
"You mom?"
"Don't I look alright?" Samantha ask
"Is the baby fine?" Aden ask coming to place his hand on Samantha's belly,
"Everything is fine Aden, stop worrying" she hug him to her and he felt the baby move he got so excited that he scream bringing ms Davis and Alfred attention, Joshua assure them all was well,
After homework and studying Aden was allowed some game time later spend time with his parents, after that he was sent off to bed,for Samantha and Joshua to get some alone time,
They both turn at the same time to hug each other, "good morning" Joshua said kissing Samantha,
"Hey I had a wonderful dream last night I made out with this handsome soft and sexy guy it was so good I almost didn't want to stop dreaming"
Joshua smile kissing her "I promise you pretty you won't ever stop dreaming, and for that I'm going to prove it to you"
"By making love to me?"
"Yes" he whispered kissing her softly and slowly.
"I love you"
"I love you too" Samantha whispered back.
After a shower they both went down for breakfast, Aden was at the table Samantha walked into the dinning room and kiss his cheek,,
"Good morning honey"
"Good morning" he answered "dad" he greet his father,
"Need a ride to school!" He ask
"You mean it dad you're dropping me at school?"
"Yes"
"I'm ready" Aden ran off to get his things
"I think you should do this more often" Samantha said
"I might just have to" Joshua told her kissing her" what time must I pick you up for the party"
"Party? You didn't say that we are going to a party"
"We are will seven be fine?"
Samantha nod putting her arms around his neck to hold him for a while,
"Walk me out"
Samantha walk to the front door with Joshua kissing both him and Aden goodbye waving as the car got out the drive way, since since she move in she hardly get enough time for her plants ms Davis did most of the watering and frank cater did the weeding since it was only seven thirty and Samantha didn't have to rush her first appointment is at ten and before that she didn't have anyone down prince and the others were there so she didn't have to worry, she spend sometime pulling out weeds and clipping hedges, she was nearly through when ms Davis came to tell her Mr Dale had call, with a little fright she went in to take the call thinking something must have happened for he only left the house few minutes ago with Aden "
"You can invite your friends to the party later on" Joshua said when Samantha said hello, feeling relieve she take a deep breath said OK then hang up.
