"I'm finished for the day Doña Lucero, need anything else before I leave?" I asked my manager, she was doing some paperwork in her office.The older lady smiled, shaking her head. "No need, esta todo bien."
"Okay. Sorry for interrupting but can you do me a favor? Can you charge me for this fertilizer and mulch?"
"Of course!"
"What are these for?" Doña Lucero asked, taking the money from my hands."Remember the roses I bought recently? I need these for the rose garden I'm making in front of my house."
"Oh, qué bueno. Lo harás tu sola?"
"Si, all by myself. My sisters will probably help but I like to do it myself." I shrugged grabbing the bag.
"See you tomorrow!" I said my goodbyes.
"Adiós, mija."
~~~~~~~~~~~"Why aren't the girls here yet? They should've been here by now." I said as I placed the bag on the kitchen table.
The house was empty and I wondered where Catalina and Elena were but I then remembered about their new friends. Probably they are hanging out after school, having fun...I guess.
I changed my clothes, not bothering on taking a shower since I was about to sweat working on my garden anyways. It was a very sunny day.
I wore denim shorts, white t-shirt, boots and gloves.
Heading outside, I placed the fertilizer on the porch. I looked around the block, it was a nice day and kids were playing outside.Loud music was playing from down the block, the music came from the Díaz resident. I saw Oscar with his brother Cesar talking right in front of the house.
I groaned at the sight. "At least they got good music on."
Kneeling down, I was inspecting my roses. I smiled at how pretty they were getting. I was quite proud of my work so far. Now with the fertilizer and mulch I got, they will even grow more beautiful.
Humming a tune as I watered the roses, I heard bickering from behind me, I turned back.
The squad was there in the Díaz house. Elena and Catalina looked scared as they were talking to Cesar. Monse was talking too, Ruby and Jamal looked like they were trying to calm the situation. Oscar was looking at them with amusement.
I stood up, taking my gloves off, throwing them on the ground. Oscar spotted me, that puto just smirked.
"What happened now?" I mumbled as I made my way over there.
Catalina and Elena's eyes widened when they noticed me walking towards them.
"Que pasó?" I asked, hands on my hips.
"Nothing, don't worry!" Catalina placed her hands on my shoulders, trying to turn me. "Let's go!"
"Hey, stop." I took her hands off me. "What happened? Why were you guys arguing?" I asked once again.
The kids were looking at me with wide eyes, Oscar had a smug look on his face.
I rolled my eyes at him. "Well?""Its nothing, really." Ruby forced a smile, clearly he was lying.
"Liar."
I turned to Monse. "What happened?"
