ALEX'S P.O.V
Ever since I turned 5 years old I have always had a campas tattoo on my arm. And so does everyone else.
You get your tattoo when your five years old and have it until you meet your soulmate. The compas is supposed to point to the direction that your soulmate is so all you have to do is follow it.
Some kids are lucky enough to already meet there soulmate. Others wait until there an adult to go out and find there soulmate. And some just don't have one.
When your soulmate dies your compas comes back meaning you have a new soulmate or it comes back but broken meaning your only soulmate in your life is gone.
If your soulmate is close the arrows on the compas start glowing meaning there close.
Sometimes people get a soulmate but when you find them there not your soulmate. The compases arnt always correct. They Just pair you with someone that the universe thinks is the right person for you. You can take it or leave it.
For Alex he took it. His mom always told him that his soulmate would be the one. And he felt so to.
For the past 2 weeks Alex's compas was glowing on and off and it was driving him crazy.
"UGH! is there an off button on this thing I'm trying to sleep." Said alex rolling into a new position in his bed.
"Ugh I get it there close but it's not like there in my house or in the street!" Said alex. His eyes widened and he relized he Just scarred himself and he wasn't going to sleep tonight.
"Fuuuuuccc-" he said sitting up and crawling out of bed. He grabbed his phone to see a text from his best friend Eliza.
Eliza: hey yo you up
Alex: I am now
Eliza: wuz wrong?
Alex: my compas keeps glowing and I can't sleep.
Eliza: still? Yesh I feel for you.
Alex: anyway what's up.
Eliza: nothing much just bored
Alex: same I refuse to sleep so imma Just talk to you.
Eliza: tomarrow in school I have to show a new kid around. The point is it's a guy and not and girl and usuallyyyy i show girls around not guys so imma bit nervy
Alex: don't worry if you need my help I got you fam XD
Eliza: thanks XD fam.
After talking all night with Eliza about random stuff I finally fell asleep around 3 am.
I stuffed my bookbag with stuff I would need that day and got on the bus. My compas had stopped glowing for a little bit but as soon as i stepped into school it started glowing again.
Was it someone a grade below me? Was it someone I had never met before which would pretty odd since I know pretty much everyone. Whatever it's probably someone who lives in the naborhood near the school.
"Hey liza!" I said running to catch up with her. "How did it go with the new kid?"
"Oh it was alright. He still had a compas but he wasn't my soulmate which was kinda disappointing cause he was cute but whatever" she said as we made our way to English.
"Oh is he now? Do I have any classes with him?" I said taking out my notebooks. "Well we have lunch with him and he rides your bus in the after noon" said Eliza giving me a wink. "Real mature liza" I said smiling.
It was now 6th period which was our lunch period and the only reason I come to school.
"Wuz up fam!" I said sitting between hurcles and Eliza as the girls sat across from me and laff sat next to Aaron. "Ew what the fudge is this" said laffayete holding up a bread stick.
"Uh it's bread laff?" Said angelica. "Uh no honey this is a emposer pretending to be bread. Like sis imma need you to leave" said laff getting up and throwing the bread away as we all laughed.
"OH MY GOD!" Said Eliza. "What?!?!?!" Said Peggy acting like something was going to jump out and attack her. "The new kid is right over there sitting alone" said Eliza as we all awkwardly leaned over to see him.
"Uh yo Alex" said hurcles lifting up my rist. "Ugh seriously now?!?!" I said pulling my jacket over it. "Alex! Your compas is pointing right over to the new kid" said angelica coming over.
"Guys stop your making a scene!!" I said. "Okay I'm going to go over there for a second" said Peggy getting up and going over to the new kid.
"NOOO PEGGY!!!!" But she was already heading over there. "Well fu*k. My life's ruined." I said covering my head with my arms.
"Don't be so dramatic Alex. There no way John's your soulmate" said Eliza eating her rice. "John?" I said looking over at Peggy coming back over. "Yeah that's his name" said Eliza.
"Oh my god!!!! Okay so I said hey are you new? Typical stuff and I saw his arm and his compas is pointing over here !!" Said Peggy squealing.
"Oh my god!!! Guys!! Okay even if he's my soulmate I would rather find out latter and not now! In front of everyone!!" I said trying to make everyone be quite.
"Okay then Alex I'm coming on your bus and going to your house because I'm making sure you guys meet today" said Eliza as the bell rang for our next class.
"Eliza I'm not sure about this I feel sick" I said as we got on my bus. "Alex your fine. OH! he's sitting at the back of the bus come on!" She said pulling me. "NO!" I said shoving her into the first emety seat. "Were sitting here and after we talk to him!" I said.
"What?! Do you not like him or something?" Said Eliza as I shushed her. "No I mean well.. Okay he's cute but I'm a nerd! What if when we meet he dosnt like what he sees" I said whispering.
"Alex don't be ridiculous! Your amazing and if he can't see that he's a ass" Eliza said messing up my hair.
"Thanks liza" I said hugging her.
"Okay! Be cool about it" I said getting of the bus. "Don't be to-" "HEY JOHN!!!!!" Screamed Eliza waving her hands like a phyco.
"ELIZA WH-WHY- FU*ccccc"
"Come here!!!!" She said waving him over.
It's like everything was playing in slow motion. As he came closer my compas grew brighter.. My stomach was clenching up. He was Almost over here. It was glowing so bright it was Almost blinding. And then it stopped.
"Hey... I'm John" he said. His compas was glowing to and pointing right at me.
"I'm Alex..." I said. And then it was gone. My compas and John's was gone. He was my soulmate.
"Nice to meet you" he said smiling. He was beautiful. He had curly chestnut hair with freckles and bright green eyes.
"Nice to meet you to" I said.
"AHHHH I SHIP IT!!!!" Said Eliza standing behind a tree.
