We did not have to walk very far to reach a coffee shop, they're basically everywhere here.
The one that Diana found though was very cute and small. It's selective and maybe not for everybody's eye.Holding the door open for me she smiled cutely as I walked past her. She followed and we both settled for a table in the back with a little more privacy.
I already set down while she was still taking off her beautiful olive coat. This woman has such an on point fashion sense.
"So, Cameron, do you actually have a boyfriend?" She asked, studying me closely. Straight to the point.
I silently thank myself that we did not yet order anything to drink or else I would have chocked so hard and probably would've spit it all out again.
"I don't have a boyfriend, no." She continued staring at me and crossed her arms. I was way too shy to stare back at her.
"A girl like you? I don't believe that. They are clearly missing out." She replied and smirked.
My face flushed pink again and I put my hands against my cheeks to shield myself from her intense stare. I don't need her catching me every time I blush.
"I am not interested in boys." I said and smiled. At first I noticed surprise in her eyes but then there was a little spark of mischief.
"I take it that you're also interested in girls then?" She asked curiously. I nod, shocked at her statement. Diana interested in women, that's interesting? She was about to say something else when a waitress reached our table.
"Hello guys, can I get you anything nice today?" She greeted us politely. She had blonde hair and stood rather tall as well.
"I would like a simple black coffee please." Diana stated. The waitress nodded. "And what can I get you, sweetheart?" She asked me as she turned towards me.
I noticed Diana tensing up at the mention of the nickname. The waitress smiled down at me and smirked, I seemed a little lost.
"Oh, I would like a mint tea, please." I replied.
She wrote everything down and left, but not without shooting a wink my way. Now I definitely blushed and Diana definitely noticed.
I fumbled with my fingers, did this waitress just try to flirt with me?
Now I looked up and Diana was still sternly staring at me, her big blue eyes burning holes into mine. Her jaw was ready to cut someone in half. Honestly, it looked stunning.
"You seem nervous." She stated and frowned.
The waitress came back with our drinks and placed each in front of us.
"Enjoy." She said before turning around and leaving. My boss was staring after her but not in a way that would be described as pleasant, no, she seemed annoyed with her.
"I find you intimidating." And before I could register what I just blurted out it had already left my lips. I gasped in shock.
"You should and now, drink!" She commanded.
Oh, I would definitely not back down this time and surprised myself with all the braveness following.
"Not to mention high-handed." I added, smirking at her, eyebrows slightly raised.
In return Diana smiled sassily. "I'm used to getting my own way."
"That must get very boring."
She stayed silent this time, continuing her intense staring. "So, tell me more about your family." I was surprised.
