It has almost been a week since I last saw Diana at this very special and one of a kind business meeting. One, that I'm sure, Diana will be thinking about a lot at night for at least a month. If this left the impression I was hoping for then I'll be in for the time of my life next time we will meet up.

The weather wasn't all that good today, mostly cloudy and a little bit of rain here and there. Anna was gone as well, a small trip to Chicago with Mia, which left me alone in the apartment, to do as I pleased.

Too bad my ex boss wasn't the one spending some quality time with me now. I'm sure we could've put it to good use.

Since the rain had just stopped I used the chance to go outside for a jog. The Central Park would smell fantastic after a heavy rain shower.

Once I had changed into some more comfortable running clothes I grabbed my keys and phone, turned on some music and hummed along to it as I stood inside the elevator that would take me to the lobby.

Old memories of me and Diana hit me, a scene similar to it. That one time she had easily pressed me against an elevator wall and kissed me like there was no tomorrow, almost getting caught by a bunch of random people. I closed my eyes and smiled, unconsciously licking my lips at the memory. I desperately wanted to feel those lips on mine again.

Leaving the building I made my way towards the Central Park. Once I'd be there I could easily take a break and just walk through it.

As soon as I saw the trees I had to cross one more traffic light. Trying to keep myself warm while waiting I jumped on the spot, ignoring the people next to me. Most of them were busy on their phones anyways. They shouldn't be that bothered by me.

My eyes then wandered over towards the cars waiting at the traffic light. Mostly the same old yellow cabs, crazy rich cars or bikes waiting for it to turn green again. I looked further, to the people waiting on the other side of the crosswalk. Coffee and phones in their hands, or an umbrella.

I kept scanning the crowd until my eyes landed on something familiar, or rather someone familiar. It was Diana, typing on her phone, probably texting some kind of business partner. She wasn't looking too happy.

"Oh, goddamn." I cursed under my breath. She hasn't noticed me yet, something I was grateful for. My body was clad in the most ridiculous clothes, my hair a frizzy mess and Diana? She was dressed in the fanciest and newest designer clothes. I couldn't make this story up.

What should I do now? Just walk over to her and say 'hi' like some lost child searching for their mother? Do I run away? Do I pretend I haven't seen her?

No time to think about anything as the light was turning green for us now and I had to walk across eventually unless I wanted to get run over by strangers.

The thought of turning around and heading back home as fast as I got here definitely crossed my mind that second but it was too late. Her blue orbs laid sight on me and it was useless to hide. They widened for a second, probably surprised to find me here at this time.

I awkwardly waved, a shy smile on my face. My feet carried me a bit to the side so I wouldn't stand in the way of people trying to cross and waited for her.

She was quick to cross the road and walk in front of me. "Yeah, you know what, George? Let's talk about this tomorrow? I'll give you a call and you can easily use the time to settle your program. Yes– yes. Fine. See you tomorrow."

She locked her phone and put it back into her small purse, some fancy thing I wouldn't know the name of. That purse was probably worth more than my entire life.

"Cameron. What a surprise to see you here. You're going on a run? In this kinda weather? All alone?" Her eyes studied my face, then lowering to check my clothes out.
