Do this! Do that! Why can't I do what I want?
My mother wants me to be a doctor. My father wants me to be an engineer. My sister had this same problem. What happened to her? She jumped into a river and drowned.
I believe she is in a better place now, but I don't want to end up like her. I want to be able to live my life in my own way!
I want to become a pop star but my parents don't support me. "Hazel Jenner, you'll never earn a living! You'll never become famous! It's hard work!" Yes I know it's hard work but to become what they want is even harder. I can't do maths, I can't do science, and I'm rubbish at design and technology. All I can do is sing; my friends love my voice. I can dance a bit too. But do my parents care?
