7: MAMA Awards

It was finally the big day.

I would be debuting in front of thousands of fans and famous idols. The nerves were hitting me like a hurricane so I sat myself down in a corner of the dressing room. It was still relatively early in the morning as we had to be there early for rehearsals and fittings.

After waking up from our naps, i quickly checked my phone to respond to good luck texts from my friends and family. It was then that I noticed that blackpink's social media sites were getting a lot of hits. Scrolling through the comments section I realised what all the commotion was about: me. 

There were so many encouraging comments and the occasional hate ones too. I smiled happily at my phone, finally feeling some kinds of excitement for my debut replacing my former nervousness. 

Around an hour and a half before the show started I sneaked out to check out the stage one last time. Somehow, I must have taken a wrong turn or something because I ended up in a completely different place. I ran around trying to figure where the hell I was and decided to take a leap of faith and opened a door to my left that led me straight to a parking facility. Curious to see if there was any staff available to help me I walked around the first floor before seeing two shadows behind a wall. As I was deathly curious, I creeped up closer, trying to muffle the sounds of my heels clacking against the concrete.

Slowly peeping around the corner my eyes widened at the scene infront of me.

Rosé unnie and BTS's Jimin sunbaenim were intently talking to each other. I must have stood there for a long time as Jimin sunbaenim suddenly turned clearly shocked at my presence.

I turned to run but Rosè unnie called out my name the way they say it when they've caught you doing something your not supposed to be doing.

I slowly turned around, keeping my eyes on the floor and muttering a quick sorry.

'Jiyeon-ie, what are you doing here?" she asked.

I explained how I had lost my way trying to get to the stage and ended up here. 

Meanwhile, Jimin sunbaenim who had been listening amusingly at the conversation spoke up.

"Chaeyoung-ah, are you not going to introduce me to your dongsaeng?" He said smiling.

Chaeng unnie smiled briefly before saying "Jimin oppa this is Jiyeon aka Kiko, Jiyeon-ie this is BTS'S Jimin".

I had my mouth agape in shock. Did she just refer to a senior artist as oppa?

"O-oppa?"- I stuttered out

Jimin sunbaenim smiled again before explaining that he was older that Chaeng unnie. I mean I knew that too, but was anyone going to explain to me why they were on casual terms?

Chaeng unnie understood my confusion and said "I'll tell you after the award show,k?"

We said our goodbyes and walked back towards our dressing room, quietly, only nodding my head to Rosè unnie's questions.

What was their relationship?

Was that who she was talking to on the phone?

Why did they speak so casually?

I pushed all these questions aside when I entered the dressing room.

As soon as I walked in, Jisoo unnie tackled me into a hug.

"WHERE WERE YOU?!" 

Tired from explaining the whole story I said I got lost and Rosè took me back here.

(Time skip)

Our performance went so well. I heard so many compliments from the senior artists girl groups wise who endlessly praised me whilst also making new friends namely NCT's Jisung.

After doing the thank you and group photos onstage we exited backstage where to my surprise was a large room where all the artists would come together to talk and socialise. Let me tell you this one thing that I was so not expecting. ALL the idol groups were friendly regardless of being boy groups or girl groups.

I lost the rest of the blackpink unnies in the crowd and ended up looking extremely lost. 

Thankfully, Yeri unnie from Red Velvet saw my pitiful state and rushed over to me soon enough all Red Velvet members and Blackpink members had huddled together in a corner of the room.

Around a hour later, Jisoo unnie pulled me away from jisung to tell me we had dinner plans in 2 hours so we needed to leave to the dorms to get ready.

Little did I know we were meeting with BTS and NCT.
