Chapter four:

Wednesdays, a day that Veronica somehow hated. It seemed to be worse with Archie's absence, and Betty smooching up to Jughead all the time. Veronica wasn't even up for vixen practice, which wasn't good, since they had a competition tomorrow.

Veronica hadn't had the time to ask where Archie went last night. After the approach of Reggie, she still went looking for him and wasn't found. He was okay, though. He sent her a text late that night, saying that he wouldn't be at school tomorrow. Although, she had noticed his lack of care shown to her, and she started to think that he didn't want to spend time with her anymore.

On top of everything, Veronica was definitely overthinking about Reggie's behaviour development. Starting from that night, where Veronica had been overly emotional, and he had made her feel slightly better without trying-and then to last night, where he desperately wanted her to forgive him.

And the hand ...

What the fuck, Veronica?

Maybe she had some sort of soft hand fetish.

Veronica quickly brushed Reggie away from her thoughts, which was quite difficult when he sat right beside her. She caught him staring once, him, of course being Reggie, wiggled his eyebrows and winked.

"Fangs, Veronica, Kevin and Reggie." The teacher's voice suddenly became audible. Veronica stared at the teacher, as if she expected to say something else, but the teacher simply called out other names. Kevin, Fangs and Reggie quickly put their desks together against yours as other classmates did the same with others.

"Are you okay, Veronica?" Kevin raised an eyebrow.

"What's going on?"

"We've been paired for our art project ... and need to plan it out?" Fangs popped his head out from beside Kevin. Veronica muttered an 'oh' and pulled out her art book, embarrassed. How cliche, Reggie being put in a group with her.

"Anyway, since you weren't listening, we have to choose some sort of Australian native animal and make some model out of it with recycled stuff. So, does anyone want to vote for our animal? Or do we just go with a Kangaroo?" Kevin clasped his hands together. Veronica shrugged.

"Don't you think kangaroos are too stereotypical? Besides, they're kind of lame." Reggie continued to click his pen, looking as if he didn't give a damn in the world. Kevin clenched his jaw. "For the record, they're adorable, but why don't you suggest something else?"

"A crocidile."

"No!" Kevin and Veronica shouted in unison. Reggie pouted.

"But they're cool."

"I can't believe i'm saying this, but I kind of agree with him." Fangs added, and immediately, Kevin sighed in defeat. "Fine. Veronica?"

"Come on, Ron. Be creative." Veronica turned to her right, where Reggie leaned on her desk, batting his eyelashes and putting on a 'puppy dog' look. She scoffed, throwing her hands in the air in surrender, pretending as if Reggie's charm had no effect on her "Majority rules, I guess."

Reggie smirked, satisfied. "Great, let's plan."

"I've dreaded going to this place ever since I cane to Riverdale." Veronica scrunched up her face as she entered the dump. Her, Kevin, Reggie and Fangs had decided to sesrch for any recycable items for their last free period, since they all admitted they didn't recycle.

"What do you mean? Isn't this where you live?" Reggie scrunched his eyebrows together. Veronica slapped his arm. "Hey, that's rude."

Fangs and Kevin exchanged an odd look to eachother. Kevin cleared his throat. "Veronica! How's you and Archie?"

"M-me and Archie? We're fine. Why?" Veronica felt uneasy at the question. She didn't know. They seemed fine, but she didn't feel fine. Reggie turned away and searched for some items.

"Oh, I just don't see you around him anymore." Kevin awkwardly clicked his tongue.

"More like you don't see him around me anymore ..." Veronica mumbled out of her breath. Reggie chewed the side of his cheek, furrowing his eyebrows as he pretended he didn't hear it. Veronica found a few plastic bottles near where she stood and picked them up.

"Has he asked you out to the dance?" Fangs opened the large bin bag which they placed the items in. Veronica shook her head. Archie didn't yet, but being his girlfriend, doesn't that give you a free pass?

In that moment, Veronica decided to confront Archie the next day.

I couldn't find a moment to end the chapter, oop.
