Chapter eleven:
Veronica had woken up with half of her body slung over the bed. She quickly stopped herself from falling and causing a scene, breathing heavily from slight shock. She glanced over to Reggie, who spread his arms and legs widely on the bed, being the reason why Veronica woke up in her position. She scoffed softly, smiling ever so slightly at his soft snores and peaceful face.
Her eyes traced down onto his torso. His sheets were spread all over the bed, as if a wild animal had jumped in the bed, part of the sheet covering his lower body. The rest? Well, that was exposed at it's finest. Veronica couldn't help but glue her eyes onto his tanned muscular body
"Enjoying the view, Ron?" Veronica almost jumped out of her skin from Reggie's voice. She held her heart, facing the boy, who only had one eye open. He lifted his left arm over his head and smirked at the raven haired girl.
"Shut up." She mumbled lightly, staring at Reggie's t-shirt that she wore "How long have you been awake?"
"A fair ten or twenty minutes." He shrugged casually. Veronica held her mouth agape.
"And you didn't even think of moving at all? I could've fallen off." She folded her arms.
"Hey, you were the one who wanted me to sleep with you afterall." Reggie wiggled his eyebrows as Veronica attempted to push the thought of kissing him out of her head. Although she couldn't actually do it, she could at least try to play dumb.
She bit her lip and threw herself on the bed. "We have school today, right? I need something to wear that looks decent."
"Every piece of clothing on you looks decent, princess." Reggie laughed. Veronica amusingly smiled and furrowed her eyebrows as she turned her head his way.
"Did you just call me princess?"
Reggie nodded. "You're a literal princess, Ron."
Veronica let out a small giggle before the room went silent. The two lay side by side of his bed, staring at his grey ceiling. Veronica twiddled her thumbs together as she attempted to focus on the fan spinning.
"Veronica?" Reggie had spoken in a somewhat nervous tone. Veronica turned her head towards him, watching him still watch the ceiling. She raised an eyebrow. "Hm? What's up?"
"Last night ... We're not dragging eachother along, right?" He bit his lip "Because i'm not dragging you along. Are you dragging me along?"
Veronica chewed her cheek, finally giving up from avoiding the subject. She had to admit, she was super glad that she wasn't just a thing. Because if she was falling for anyone while she was with Archie, it was definitely Reggie.
"Of course not." She pouted, fighting a small smile as she heard him sigh in relief. Then, she realised, Reggie had not answered her question last night. She plastered a smirk on her face and began to trace circles on his arm. "You need to answer my question, Reginald Mantle."
"Question? What? No way, you asked me a question ..." He laughed nervously "Also, never call me Reginald again. Anything but Reggie—"
"There was a question, and you know it, Reginald." She glared at him. Reggie sighed in defeat, finally turning to face her face. "Okay, fine. I kissed you because ...."
"Because ..."
"Because ..." He stressed the 'S' for a good ten seconds. Veronica slapped his arm, earning him to mutter an 'ow' before biting his lip.
"Because you're an amazing good looking gorgeous girl with talent humour and a great soul and I really like you and I don't think i've ever experienced a real love or crush of whatever for someone and honestly I just needed to confirm the tension we have if you know what I mean because i'm used to being a fling and now I feel as if I never want to be a fling because I just want to kiss you and you only and basically that kiss just confirmed my feelings but I really didn't want to admit this because I might be rejected by you because somehow the fear of being rejected by you is much scarier than usua—"
"Do it again."
"What?" Reggie raised an eyebrow. Veronica leaned near his face, leaning into his ear fir a whisper, not breaking eye contact with his plump lips. "Do. It. Again."
Reggie knew exactly what she meant. He stared into her eyes for a split second, slowly making his way to connect his lips with hers once again. He stopped once they were milimeters away from kissing. "You're into me, right?"
"I'm into you." She shivered at the warmth of his breath on her face, travelling down to her neck, assuring him. In less than the speed of lightening, he connected his lips with hers again, the same pleasureable and right feeling of fireworks exploding the exact same as before. It wasn't a passionable kiss, it was simple and long, as if they never wanted to break apart.
"So ... Uh ..." Veronica mumbled as they broke apart. She was unsure of if they were in a relationship or not. Reggie, as if he read her mind, grinned wildly as he stroked a strand of hair behind her ear. "Not yet."
Veronica twisted her facial features in an expression of confusion. Reggie continued. "I have to do it right, you know? I take you out to a fancy resturaunt, you and I have a great meal with candles and romantic music, then it's real."
"Reggie Mantle, a complete romantic." Veronica sighed "Who would've known?"
"Nobody but you, princess."
Ugh, i'm sick.
Also i feel as if this whole
Story doesn't make sense, but
It may just be me being me (thinking
everything I create is shitty)
anyway, idk if i'll update while i'm still
sick or when i get better.
