As I lay on my side on the soft carpet, I enjoy two little hands petting and rubbing my fur. I slightly raised my head and glance at Sang across the room. She is resting her head on Nathan's shoulder, while Gabe is sitting on the floor with his back against the couch painting her toenails. Kota is next to Nathan while they play a racing video game. She is totally different from the scared and hurt girl I first met.
"Momma. Tell us the story of how you met our dads, please," ask the twins Lucas and Gabriella.
"Sure babies," she answered, and started telling the story. As her gentle voice drifted through the room, I think about how I first met her.
