Back at the apartment, (Y/N) comforted Padme. She braided the Senators hair, pulling it into a loose bun on top of her head.  They spoke about how they would keep each other safe and how they would go on in this war. They had sat in her room long enough for the Jedi to come back and find them exactly where they had left them before.

When Anakin and Obi-Wan arrived back to the apartment, Padme had fallen back asleep. (Y/N) watched carefully over her. She could hear the whispers of the two Jedi, speaking of a plan. Please no more wise ideas, she thought to herself. She couldn't allow their plans to endanger the Senator again. Not even of herself, a young Princess soon to be Queen. She didn't want for this to happen, she hated politics, but being under the Queen's authority she must soon take her role. (Y/N) walked into the living area holding the bottom of her nightgown in her hands. Sitting on the pearl white couch, she laid down resting her head on the arm of it. The men sensed her presence in the room, checking over their shoulders to see her. Obi-Wan gazed in sadness. He could sense her sorrow so easily.

Anakin could feel the strong pull of emotions between Obi-Wan and the young princess before him.

"You act as if you know her so well, Master," Anakin said softly, taking a drink from his water glass. Obi-Wan looked back in the direction of his Padawan, humming in response. "Is that so," he mumbled looking down at his glass before pushing it aside. "Anakin... whatever you do, don't let your emotions control you," Obi-Wan spoke high and clear to get his point across. Anakin was confused by his sudden burst of demands. "Of course, Master," he lied. Obi-Wan stood from his bar seat, walking over to the girl on the couch quietly, stroking her cheek gently. "A great deal of time sure changes one's image," he spoke. "A young girl I once knew, I no longer know." Anakin started to follow his Master's words. "So strong with the Force, and yet so fragile hearted-" "Master, you are poetic again." Obi-Wan turned back to his Padawan giving him a striking glare. He stepped away from the sleeping girl, walking to the large window that surrounded them.

"She, my young apprentice... She is my sister. My baby sister..." Obi-Wan spoke as if saying the word shattered his heart into millions of pieces. Anakin understood now. She had grown separately from him, now of different backgrounds and motifs. "She was supposed to be strong and flourish with what she once knew, not play alongside the Senate. To become a queen-" he stopped himself shaking his head, "no, she shouldn't have had to live this way." Anakin crossed his arms listening to the words spoken to him.

"What happened, Master?" Anakin asked softly.

"An imperial attack on my family."

Anakin could only look at (Y/N) with sadness in his eyes. He listened to the words Obi-Wan spoke, but couldn't sense the pain in his voice. Only the pain that washed over (Y/N)'s mind. Maybe she had heard them speaking? She looked as if she were dreaming- of pain or misery. He couldn't bear to watch her in sadness anymore, despite the uneasy feeling he always felt around her. "You need rest, Obi-Wan," Anakin spoke looking away from the sleeping girl to his Master. Obi-Wan hung his head low, humming a sigh. "You're right... You are right," he said starting to walk to his room. He stopped mid-step, though, turning around to pick the sleeping girl up from the couch to take her to her own room. Anakin could feel the familiar love radiating off of Obi-Wan, feeling a wave a peace.

After picking her up, Obi-Wan took (Y/N) to her room, tucking her into her bed. He stayed beside her for quite some time, gently touching her cheek. "Oh, (Y/N)... I am so sorry it had to be this way," he spoke softly, frowning at his words.

"Obi..." (Y/N) mumbled, her eyebrows knitting together, turning to her side to hold onto her pillow.

He weakly smiled standing up from the bed. He kissed her forehead and sighed, "Goodnight, my dead skylight," he spoke softly.
