Chapter 4

"That she means that we should start and escape from this place because the people from the orphanage are going to try and take us to that disgusting and horrid place" I interrupted Elizabeth. I know, I was lying about all of this. It's just to keep Sky from not thinking about the war.

"Ok well what are we waiting for, we need to get out of this place" said Sky giving me and Elizabeth a nod. So Me, Elizabeth & Sky quickly run out trying not to let anyone see us, escaping the house. Elizabeth and I followed Sky till we saw a truck with soldiers in it. 

"Hey don't leave, we need to ask you a question" shouted Sky. What is she doing we can get killed from those soldiers, who knows they're in our side? Luckily the soldiers ignored Sky. And drove away before she yelled again. 

"Wait" Sky shouted.

"What are we going to do now?" Sky says. 

"I know let's find a ship with Aussies in them and hide in there" I suggested. 

"That's too risky Kim it's going to take a long time to just find one ship with Aussies in it" said Elizabeth. 

"Oh yeah" I said, trying to not look embarrassed.

It turned out that all of us were running to a doc where the boats are. But as soon as we get there we hear gunshots. Straight away I knew it was a sniper. Sky and I both fall back into a boat as a bullet goes straight passed us. We both heard people yelling and getting shot by those snipers. Just when we both fall back into the boat, the boat started viewing away from the doc. I noticed that Elizabeth wasn't on the boat with us. I looked around and I saw Elizabeth laying on the floor with blood spreading on her t-shirt and the floor. I couldn't look at this it's horrible.

Firstly, I saw Mr Chinh dead now I see Elizabeth laying on the floor this is too much for me. I also noticed that Sky wait Thuy was watching too. I knew she was thinking what I was thinking go and help her but we're too far, near the doc.

As we sit there watching her on the floor. We both start to cry for a very long time. We cried so much, we basically cried the whole trip. While we lay in a shack that we found earlier. We hear a loud thump. 

"We're here" said Sky trying to wipe her tears away to not look like she has been crying for a lot of hours. 

"But the thing is where we are?" I asked, wondering where we are. We both wait for the person driving the boat to get out.

After they get out we took our steps, we both walked weirdly for the first few steps. But got better later. 

"Where are we" I asked tiredly. 

"I don't know" said Thuy. 

"Let's ask someone" I said while looking around. We both go up to a man in bright red clothing carrying a brown bag. 

"Excuse me can you please tell us in which country we are in"? Said Thuy to the man. 

"Oh we're in Melbourne, Australia" said the nice man. 

"Ok, thanks very much" said as politely as I can.

Just when the polite men walked away. Suddenly a woman walks to us and drag us into a car with other two kids. The car smelt so nice it smelt like roses. Wait, I mean why did the women dragged us in here, we're just new kids in this place.

Thuy and I tried to ask what is the women doing but the women kept ignoring us.

"Where are we?" said Thuy looking like she was missing her home. The women didn't answer, even the two kids didn't. We both tried to ask her where she is driving us but she still didn't answer. We sat in the car in silence till we past a big black gate that said Bourke Street Orphanage.
