Truth Hurts

Chapter 3

I walk down the staircase of my house seeing Hunter on the phone. Probably ordering pizza.

   "Okay... thanks," Hunter replied to the person and face me.

   "Oh hi," He says,grinning.

   "Oh hey," I replied,grinning.

   "When is the pizza going to come? I am hungry," I said holding my stomach with a pout. Before Hunter could reply, the doorbell rings.

   Ding! Dong!

   Right on time! I run to where the door is and open the door. I saw a good-looking boy teenager in front of me holding the pizza. He has blonde hair and hazel eye's. He was smiling at me. I smiled back.

   "That will be ten," He says cutting the awkwardness.

   I gave him a ten dollar note as he gave me the pizza.

   "Uhh... I will see you. Here's my number. And are you single?" He ask giving me his card. I look at the card and saw that his name was Kevin.

   "It's nice to meet you Kevin. I will give you a text. Oh and I am definitely si-"

   "She's taken." Hunter said from behind me interrupting my sentence.

   I look over at him and scowl. He smirk at me and gave Kevin a death stare. Kevin swallow the lump of his throat before heading off. I close the door and put the pizza box on the table, opening it. I took a slice and close my eye's. Before opening them back and gave Hunter a death stare.

   "What?" He says innocently.

    "Your so mean! We were getting to know each other." I huff in annoyance.

   "Your welcome kitty," He replied winking before taking a slice of the pizza.

  "Be right back. I gotta wee," I said to him before heading to the bathroom.

   I look at myself in the mirror. My wavy brown hair was getting longer! It had reach until my waist. And did I mention how boring my eyes were? It was just plain brown... I sighed I am pretty sure Charles had said it correctly. Nobody would look up to me compared to her. She has blonde hair and I, got black hair. Her eye's is mesmerizing while mine, is plain boring. Wait... why am I saying this right now? I am supposed to go out of here before Hunter gets out of my house.

   I walk back to the living room. My house was quiet and peaceful. I got to the kitchen and saw a note that was stick to the fridge. Guess that is Hunter's. I took it from the fridge and open it. A smile formed on my lips as I read the letter.

   'Dear Kelly(My kitty),

                      I am skipping school tommorow, because I got some 'work' to do with some girls ;) . But hope you can take this advice 👇

1. Don't cause trouble cause I am not there with ya

2. Don't miss me too much.

3. Don't flirt with ANY boys.

That's all, three advice it's easy. Bye, Ly,see ya soon.

I closed the note and put it in my pocket. I sat down on my room calling my parents to see how they are doing. Next, I called Kevin's number and he picked up! We talked a lot until I got tired and close my eye's dreaming about rainbow's and ponies.

Ring! Ring! Ring!

My stupid alarm clock went off ruining my peaceful sleep. I groaned as I open my eye's and was blinded by the sunlight pouring through my window. I got up clumsily. I stretched my arms and open my window,smiling at the sound of birds and cars. The wind swept by creating a 'hush' sound. Everything seems to be peaceful until I advert my eyes to my clock and saw that I had only 30 minutes left to get ready.

   I took out my clothes and wore it. I brushed my teeth,washed my face and tied my hair into a side braid. I got out of house without eating breakfast. When I had reached school, I knew that I wasn't late.

   I plastered a smile when I enter school. I went to my locker and took out the things I need for the first lesson. I went in to the chemistry class when the bell rang. Talking about perfect timing. I sat on the far end corner of the classroom wondering why Charles had not came in to class yet. My chemistry teacher went in and started teaching.

   Today's lessons went by blindly and Charles didn't came to school. Well, that's good actually because today was very boring and it is already time to go home. My phone vibrated from my pocket and I took it out, hoping that its Hunter. Unfortunately, it wasn't him but, Surprisingly, it was Kevin. I open the text and it says:

Kevin(pizza boy):
Wanna hang out?

                                                                Me:
                                               Sure,where?

Kevin(pizza boy):
Meet you at outside
Starbucks?

   I replied with a short and sweet word: 'k'. Oh no, I am breaking one of Hunters advice! But, I ain't going to flirt with Kevin. Alright, that's a good thing. I continued walking towards starbucks. Oh wait, now I think I broke one of his advice. I miss him! Oh, nevermind I don't miss him too much. When I had reach to starbucks, I saw Kevin. I wave to him to catch his attention.and it did. He walk over to me and gave me a hug.

   "Hey," he said to me

   "Hi," I replied.

   "Do you want to walk around the park over there?" He asked pointing to the park, that has not much people. I nodded and we walk side by side there.

   We sat at a bench looking at the beutiful scene of kids playing and couples walking around.Kevin started staring at me. I arched an eyebrow and say

   "Can you stop staring at me?"

   "I wasn't staring, I was glaring," I chuckled at him and shoved him playfully.

   We suddenly got so close. I gulp. We leaned in closer and our nose were touching.

   "Kelly!" A familiar voice said.

   Both of us pulled apart and look at where the voice had came from. My eye's widen as I saw who it is. And to make it more confusing. It was two people. Uhm....

Uh-oh?
