Chapter 13: Rebirth

--Wakanda--

Everyone couldn't believe what was in the center of the room. The body of the man who had killed thousands to get to the point where he once was. He had a hole through his chest which was one of the problems they initially though they would face but Shuri and T'Challa solved it. Reed was on the machine, T'Challa and Steve were holding his hands, Strange was floating on top of him and Thor was on top of the laboratory with the glass opened on top of him. The Guardians returned back to the hotel and promised not to tell anyone. Carol stayed and watched what would happen and made sure it didn't got out of control.

"Does anyone want to back out before we start the process?" Reed asked and no one moved, "Then let us begin."

The table started rotating and Reed pressed all these buttons to make it happen. All Strange and Thor did was wait for the signal. Strange got smart and started doing the spell before the signal. Thor was still on top, awaiting further orders. Steve and T'Challa were merely there just for safety. They wanted to make sure he didn't lose control.

"Strange..." Reed took a glance at the computer before he gave the signal, "Tell Thor to do it... now!"

"Thunder!" Strange shouted, as thunder entered the room as struck the body of him. After a few moments, Strange created a shield around him and Steve and T'Challa were feeling the thunder. "How long Richards?"

"A few minutes..." Reed continued to press buttons, "enough for him to take a breath."

Shuri entered the lab with a machine that healed flesh wounds. Strange grabbed it and placed it in his chest so the flesh would regenerate.

"Shuri! Get out before he awakens!" T'Challa ordered, as Shuri ran out of the laboratory.

"I'm running out of thunder!" Thor shouted to the people below.

"Hold it! We're almost done here. Just a few more adjustments." Reed focused on turning the right temperatures on. Once he got it right, his heartbeat started working again. Reed closed the machine from spinning and he shouted to Thor, "That's enough Thunder."

Thor stopped the thunder and all the work is now with Strange. Strange removed the portal and started using the Time Stone to heal him. He got to the point where he was healed enough and Reed had the last job.

"Remember... once we press this button, all hell breaks loose." Reed said, as Thor dropped down to help T'Challa, Strange and Steve hold him down. Everyone nodded and he pressed the button.

"Stark!" Thanos shouted as he woke from his sleep. He pushed everyone he was holding away and he stood up from the table, "All of the Avengers, will die!"

Thanos grabbed T'Challa by the throat and threw him across the room. He fell onto the table and all of the materials were scattered. Reed tried to tangle him up but Thanos broke free and hit him in the head using a head butt. Strange used his magic to create multiple versions of himself and Thanos got confused. After a few more mind tricks, Thor punched him in the face and started strangling him. He got Thor off him and knocked him out with a punch. Steve ran towards him and Thanos tried to punch him. Steve grabbed his arm and started to resist his hold. Before Thanos could counter it, Carol came in and knocked him across the room.

"Thanos! Stop it! We are not enemies this time. We seek your help." Carol explained, as Thanos sat on the floor and wiped the blood of his face.

"You resurrect me to enjoy the pleasure of killing me again?" Thanos chuckled as he stood up. "I won't fall under any of your spells again."

"There is a threat coming to Earth that it could possibly destroy our universe. We need your help." Steve said

"The Captain. I killed you with the others, didn't I?" Thanos asked, as he wiped some tools of his chest.

"We are not looking to fight you, Thanos. The being called the Creator can kill all of us with one punch to the planet." Thor said

"Then let him punch the planet. I have no care in this planet at all. Just kill me again and let me rest in piece."

"Well, if we do that you'll be seeing us after a few days." Strange said

"We'll give you an offer." Steve said, walking to him, "You help us and we'll give you the Infinity Stones to stop him."

Strange walked to his ear and started whispering, "Steve, do you know what will happen if we give him the Infinity Stones? He'll kill us all."

"Once we kill the celestial, we tell Mantis to make him fall asleep and we grab the Infinity Gauntlet right out of his hands." Steve answered

"You better know what you're doing." Strange said, as he transported the gauntlet into his hands, "You will need this to handle the Infinity Stones."

"And what will the others think when they see me?" Thanos asked, placing the gauntlet in his hands, "A monster for killing so many of your own?"

"We'll handle them. Just worry about the Creator."

"Then were are the Infinity Stones?" Thanos asked politely this time.

"The Time Stone is with me. Reality Stone is with Bucky. Space Stone is with Thor. Power Stone is with the Guardians and..." Strange looked at Carol, "Where are the other two stones."

"Mind Stone is with Loki. He retreated back to the Creator." Thor said, as he gave Thanos a menacing look.

"I stored the Soul Stone in Vormir. It will be hard to retrieve it." Carol said

"Let me take care of Vormir. Just give me the four stones you have."

Everyone looked at him with question but it was their only choice. Strange opened his locket and grabbed the Time Stone. He gave it to Thanos and he placed it on his thumb finger. Strange created a portal to the Guardians ship and grabbed the Power Stone. Thanos placed it in his index finger.

"Do you really have to place them in specific places?" Steve asked as Thanos was feeling the power.

"No. All that matters is the powers that you harness from this... stones."

Thor used his powers to teleport the Space Stone into his hand. He gave it up to Thanos and placed it in his middle finger.

"The Reality Stone. Where is it?" Thanos asked for more.

"Here it is..." Strange created a portal to New York where Bucky left the Reality Stone. "Now you can create your own reality."

"So much power... in one hand." Thanos chuckled, "Nothing appreciates me but this... this does put a smile on my face. Let's begin searching the Soul Stone tomorrow. When everyone is awake."

Everyone in the room started feeling fear when Thanos sat down on a chair and looked at his gauntlet.

"I think we gave him to much power for us to deal with." Strange told Steve when they were exiting the laboratory.

"But that isn't enough to kill the Creator. We need him, Strange. Good or bad, as long as we end the day with no war."

"Giving him the power..." Strange pointed back at the laboratory, "That's where we started a war."
