CHAPTER 3

LEAH'S P.O.V

Julie pulled her car in front of my Dad's house. I noticed the empty driveway as I got out of the car. " Where is everbody?" I asked glancing at Julie. "I'll explain it later, just grab your stuff and go inside" She said handing me my bag. I walked up the brick trail to the front door. I open the dark door and headed for the kitchen. 3 messages weere on the phone. I clicked the play button and waited. " Hello Leah we're just wondering if your okay?" 2 "LEAH!! ARE YOU SAFE?!" 3 "........Leah....please be okay.......Julie will protect you" Silence. BAM!! The door slamed shut. I ran behind the countertop and waited for a noise. " Leah? You in here?" Julie yelled. I popped up behind the countertop. " What did my Mom mean 'Julie will protect you" I asked. Julie frowned. " I sent your parents to Hawii to save them. And they insisted to keep you here in America." She sighed. " Now go to your room" "What? Why?!" I said. Who did she think she was?! My mom?! "Because I'm going to get supplies" She said looking at her phone. "Why do I have to stay here?"I asked. She sighed " Because it could be dangerous" Why is she treating me like a child? " Fine" I said rushing past her. I slammed the door shut like the pissed teenager I was. I peeked through the curtains an saw Julie traveling down the road. Then I returned to my bed.

Kaitlyn peered past the dark house and sa a girl look through the kitchen windows. She smiled to herself " New Supplies" She saod as the two corners of her mouth formed a evil smirk. Kaitlyn quietly snuck in through the back door.She slid up the stairs quickly. Kaitlyn heard the door creak open and shut a second after. She heard the cabinet open. Kaitlyn snuck down the stairs and turned into the kitchen. And batted the girl over the head with a bat.

KAITLYN'S P.O.V

I rummaged through the girl's bag until I heard a muffled voice. "You awake?" I said. "Mph mmph"She mummbled. "Oh, sorry. Ha not really." I chuckled. I pulled the gray sack off her head and threw it on the couch." What the fuck!!? " She said looking around the room. " Well hi to you to" I muttered sitting in front of her. " Where's my fucking med supplies? I said in pointing her own gun at her. " I didn't take any meds" The girl gritted through her teeth. That's what I thought. I had serched the girl's bag and pockets.No meds. And then I checked the cabinet and no meds were stolen. " Bet you don't believe me" She said. leaning in her seat. " No. I believe you, Now, what's your name?" I asked trying to find her eyes behind her short brown hair. I leaned forward and brushed the hair from her eyes."Woosh" I chuckled sitting back in my seat. "Julie" she said. I remember that name and face "Julie O'Connor?" I said. " Yeah........ how do you know my name? she asked with a suprised look on her face. " It's me! Kaitlyn! Kaitlyn Myers" I said as my face formed a huge smile. "Oh my god." She said "Cut this rope from my hands so I can hug you!" I pulled the pocket knife from my hands and cut the rope around her wrists. I wrapped my arms around Julie and hugged her for what seemed like hours. " Thank god your okay." She said stepping back. Julie looked out the window and froze. The sun slowly slid behind the pine trees." We have to leave. Now." Julie said.

"Why?"

"I need to find someone"

"Who?"

"Charlie Gee"

I rolled my eyes. Time to find another asshole.

CHARLIE'S P.O.V

I caught a glimpse of 2 people walk up the walk way. I gripped my gun. I heard a knock at the door.I gripped the gun tighter. Then a bang at the door. It was a zombie I just knew it! I looked at the ceiling and prayed to God I can fight them off. I waited until they I heard a loud bang again. " CHARLIE!! Open the door you asshole!" A girl yelled " It's me Julie" I walked toward to door and waited. I open the door and pulled them both inside. And closed the door shut. " What the hell do you want?" I said sitting back on the couch. " I wanted to ask If you want to be a part of a crew?" She said. "A crew?" I said questioningly. "yeah" She said "A huge crew." "You do realize a bigger crew the more we'll get noticed" I said. "So no I will not join your stupid club"I said walking in to the kitchen. "Listen up punk" Julie said pinning me to the wall and putting her gun to my head" If you want to die I'll let you rot up like everyone else in this town." Kaitlyn grabbed Julie and pulled her away. I took a deep breath and sighed" Fine" I walked back into the living room and grabbed my gun and bag. " Let's go" Julie said. I followed behind Julie and Kaitlyn and listened to what Julie was explaining.
