I see you, and I all I can think about is how close I was to having you

You're in every thought, every breath, every dream

I want you now more than ever

I never expected to find you in a place like that

My first thought when I saw you was 'maybe fictional Wattpad boys can be found in real life'

"Tall, Dark & Handsome" is what a writer would describe you as

But you were more than that

An old soul looking for peace

A kindred spirit in need of redemption

A lost boy trying to be better

You were my refuge in the middle of a thunderstorm

The one who with a smile turned my frown upside down

We were so close to having our happy ending

Now look at us

Who knows who you ended up with

I had to replace you for someone who will never be as good as you

I look back & you're the one who got away, the one who slipped through my fingers
