It was my fault, you know
I pinned my dreams & hopes on a guy who barely knew my name
It was my fault for believing I was more than a conquest
It was my fault for ever thinking you would give me everything I desired
I was lonely, in need of some kind of attention
You were my sweet escape, in a time of solitude
Fooled myself into thinking you were my prince charming, the one who could save me
It was my fault for ever believing you could be more than a frog who I thought I could transform into a prince
For I am a Princess & you were a silly Jester
Made me believe you would give me the world
Soon I found out it was only in key-chain form
You were the joke I never got & I couldn't be more thankful
I should've known better, now I know better that you and I were never meant to be
The day will come when you'll be but a mere fleeing thought
