April's POV:
It was the eve of the wedding, which means tonight I would have my bachelorette party, and Harry would have his bachelor. Then tomorrow was the wedding! I could hardly believe it, after so long and so many hardships we've had to face, that day would be ours, nothing would ruin it. Even if World War III started it would still be perfect.
I had the next few days off of work, thankfully, I could finally get some peace for a while. I got up and kissed Harry good bye, I was getting ready for my party, and he should be getting ready for his, he probably wouldn't though. I told him he had one at a club down the street, hopefully he'd show up.
I went over to Macy's apartment, she was still having difficulty with finding a house. She was married and was raising Rose just fine, her 10 year old daughter. She had a little boy too, Coleton, he was only 5. She was watching a silly kids show when I walked in with Coleton, Rose was somewhere else, probably playing dolls or something like that.
"Hey, you ready for tonight?" I asked, she nodded, getting up to hug me.
"Yes, I'm so excited and so happy for you!" she said, and led me over to the kitchen to fix me up something. I almost gasped, I'm always surprised at how messy her home always was because of kids and all that. "Yeah, it's a mess, but it's like have no time to clean!" she said, seeming overwhelmed. I patter her back and began to wash the dishes to help her.
After helping her clean for the afternoon the baby sitter came over and we took off to get the others. Courtney was a great psychiatrist and had two kids now, Quinn and Rini. She lived in a big house and the husband she had back in college. Stephanie was in a relationship with Zac, they were serious but weren't married, but we knew it would be coming soon. Daisy was single, she broke up with her boyfriend that she had for a while, when Claire was going through that terrible time, she was okay though. Loving her job as a teacher and she wasn't ready to date again, which was fine with us.
"Everyone, can we run by the grave yard?" I wanted to visit Claire, I had all sorts of things to tell her. I'm sure she already knew everything, but I wanted to tell her myself. Many people might think it's stupid, but I did it a lot actually while Harry was in prison.
They all nodded, they let me have alone time while they stood by the car. It was evening now, the sun shinning right on her head stone. I sat down Criss-Cross-apple sauce. I began to cry a little.
"Claire, I hope everything is okay with you, I hope you're okay now. I'm just here to tell you that tomorrow is my wedding, I wish you were here, I really wish you were. I wish you were my maid of honor, and I wish you weren't so sad. I hope you're happy for me, and that you'll be there tomorrow, in some weird way. Oh my god I'm terrible at this." I laughed a little. "I love you, and miss you." I said and stood back up and walked over to the car. Everyone hugged me, and each one of us went back to the head stone and then went to the party.
It was at another club, but this one had an outside area. The back yard was beautiful. It had lights handing back and forth along the trees, and there were seats and tables everywhere, each with a jar with a candle in it, along with beautiful flowers around it. There was a stage for some live performances, and a buffet along with a bar.
People sat at tables, and began talking. I sat at a table with my brides maids, I decided that Stephanie was going to be my brides maid. Although Courtney seemed like the right pick, she didn't always support me with Harry, Stephanie sometimes did, but only in that first year, and my the middle of the year she was okay with it, and tried to help me through it all. She even sometimes went to the grave yard with me to visit Claire's head stone. When she invited me to come with her and Zac she included me in the conversation, she made sure I didn't feel like a third wheel.
There was silence as one of the employees at the club moved their hand for me to come up. I didn't want to make a speech, but I guess I kind of had to.
"Um, hello everyone, thanks for coming." they all clapped and smiled up at me. What was I supposed to say? "Um, I don't really know what to say." I laughed a little, they all laughed along and they didn't make me speak anymore, thank god.
The night went great, I got a little drunk, but I guess that was okay. We played games and danced around looking really stupid. I wondered how Harry's night was going.......
Harry's POV:
I went to the club where April said my bachelor party was, I expected it to be totally lame but it wasn't. All my friends were there, completely sober actually, they got a little drunk but nothing like they used to be. It wasn't a huge party, the night was going great until Troy walked in. I wanted to punch him, I wanted to kick him until he turned purple, but April would hate me for that, and I couldn't do that to her best friend, not on the night before our wedding.
Troy sat a few stools away from me, I decided to excuse myself and walk over to him.
"Hey, can I sit here?" I asked, he nodded, it's not like he had a choice anyway. "I want to talk about April...." I began but Troy soon interrupted me.
"I know what we did a while ago was terrible. She was just so alone, and I was alone, and because we knew each other so well, I guess it just kind of happened. It's all behind us though, I'm in a relationship, and she's getting married to you. And even though you're a total asshole to me, I'm glad she marring you, you make her really happy, and that's all I want for her. I couldn't make Claire happy, so I'm glad my other best friend gets to be." he explained, I felt kind of bad for Troy. I haven't really thought of it much, but he lost a best friend too.
"I'm sorry for being such a dick to you, I guess I knew how close you and April were, and I got protective, and I'm just realizing what you've lost. I always thought about April, how she was the only one who lost a best friend, but you did too, and I never felt bad for you. I'm such a dick!" I exclaimed, he smiled a little.
"Thanks," he said, holding out his hand. "truce?" he asked, I nodded and shook his hand.
"So, who's this knew girl in your life?" I asked, he smiled a little.
"Um, we've been dating for about 8 years now....."
"8 years! And you haven't proposed!" I said, he laughed a little.
"Neither of us are ready for that yet, but it'll be soon. Her name is Missy, she's great." he showed me a picture of a pretty blond with curly hair, brown eyes, and tan skin.
"Alright, good for you." I said, patting Troy on the back.
"Thanks, I guess." he laughed.
The night turned out fine you could say, I got wasted and I couldn't stop thinking about tomorrow. How perfect it would all be.
