Naruto? What was he doing at his house?

Sasuke approached the blond who was left sitting on the living room couch while Itachi went to talk with his parents.

"Hello, Naru." he greeted as he sat beside him.

Naruto beamed at him, "Hi, Sasu-chan!"

Sasuke raised an eyebrow at the nickname, but left it be since he too gave the blond a nickname.

"So what's Itachi gonna tell Mom and Dad?"

Naruto shrugged.

The door opened and Itachi together with Fugaka and Mikoto came out.

"We've decided..." Fugaka started.

"To adopt you!" Mikoto cheered.

Both children's eyes widened.

Naruto was going to be his brother? They'd be siblings?

Sasuke looked at Naruto who looked like he was going to cry but he was smiling.

On impulse, he wrapped his arms around him.

Naruto silently cried on his shoulder as the adults gawked at the scene.

They look adorable!

"I change my mind, you're staying here. But we're not adopting you." Mikoto corrected.

Naruto pulled away with sad eyes as Sasuke glared at his Mom for making Naruto sad.

"If we adopt you, Sasuke and you can't get married!!!" she exclaimed.

Sadness was replaced with confusion in Naruto's eyes while Sasuke facepalmed.

"What?" Naruto blurted out.

"Miko, hush. You're confusing the boy." Fugaka said.

"Don't worry! You'll still be their brother! Just without papers so you two could still get married!" Mikoto added.

Itachi and Fugaka sweatdropped.

All this was hard to process. So he was Sasuke's brother but not? He's an Uchiha but not? This was really confusing.

"Come on, Naruto. Time for bed." Sasuke said as he sat on his large bed.

Naruto chose to stay with Sasuke for the time being since he doesn't have a room yet. And he was closer to him than anyone in the house.

Naruto slipped under the blankets after Sasuke and let out a small yawn.

"G'night... Sasu-chan..." he muttered as his eyelids fell.

"Good night, Naru."
