My Over Protective Brothers

Chapter 14

"I'm gonna try out for a musical!" Is what I woke up to on this stunning Saturday morning.

"Cance," I yelled. "Shut up!"

"Shut doesn't go up!" He yelled back.

"I don't care, make it happen!" I yelled again.

He stormed into my room. "I'm going to sing "part of your world" from little mermaid for my audition song."

I snort and roll over onto my side.

"You think I'm joking?" He asked, raising one eyebrow.

"I sincerely hope so," I mutter.

"Tough luck," he replied. "Cause I'm not."

"Okay cool," I say, stuffing my face into my pillow.

"Don't you even wanna know what musical it is?" Cance asked.

"Ya know what I really wanna know?" I say, my voice muffled. "When you are gonna shut up so I can sleep."

"You are the most lame person I know," Cance stuck his lip out.

"Sure." I reply, already drifting back to sleep.

"It's Newsies!" He shrieked.

"Wonderful," I mumble.

"You'll be sorry when I get the part of Jack Kelly" Cance muttered as he left my room.

"Mhm."

When I finally got up and went downstairs for breakfast, the whole fam except for Cance was there.

"Where's Cance?" I ask. "He never misses meals."

"He already ate, something about having to hurry off to auditions." Sam told me.

"Huh, he was serious?" I question as I grab a bowl for cereal.

"I guess," Jack said, taking the bowl from my hand. "Also, I'll use this."

"But I was using it," I reply.

"Whatever, girl," he smirked. "I'll use it better."

I grin as I grab another bowl.

Cance came home later with the great news that he had gotten Jack Kelly.

"Whoa, hold up, lemme see proof." Blake insisted.

Cance held up his copy of the cast list.

"You got that great of a part by singing "part of your world?" I ask in disbelief.

"Haters gonna hate," Cance winked.

He grabbed my hands and twirled me around. "I'm gonna be the BEST Jack Kelly."

Ayyyyyeeee I'm back!!!! I'm sorry it took me so long to write this and that it's so short

I accidentally published it too soon and I'm really not sure how to unpublished it without taking the whole book down, so I hurriedly added stuff so it would be acceptable to leave it like that 😂
