~Jacquees' POV~

"Happy Thanksgiving!" my Auntie Maxine exclaimed as she walked in our house. She was my mother's oldest sister.

"Hey, Maxine," Mama Rosie said hugging her sister.

"Where's my short nephew?"

"I'm right here, Auntie Max," I said coming up behind her. She turned around and squeezed me tight. I almost suffocated in her chest. She know her titties big as hell. LOL😂😂😂!!!

"Hey, honey bunny," she said. "How are you? You still short huh?"

I chuckled and said, "Very funny, Auntie. I want you to meet someone."

"Well who is this someone? I wanna see who it is."

Cam was in the kitchen helping my other sister, Rozzie. I went to go get her. She followed in behind me with me holding her hand.

"Auntie, this is my girlfriend, Camryn. And, Cam, this is my Auntie Maxine," I said introducing them.

Now my aunt ain't never approved of any girl I brought home to meet my family, but Cam was different. She's beautiful and ambitious. So she was different.

"Hi," Cam said first.

Auntie Max ain't respond. She turned her nose up at Cam and turned her attention to someone else. Cam was looking like 'what the fuck' when she looked at me. I just led her back to the kitchen.

"Did I do something?" she asked sad.

"No, bae, you didn't do anything," I reassured her giving her a kiss on her lips.

"I should've went with my parents to Birmingham."

"Come on, bae. Just stick with me."

She shook her head and hugged me. I'm glad I was able to put a smile on her face.

During Thanksgiving dinner, everything was excellent. The food was excellent and my family was pretty cool. Everybody got along with everybody. Miracle had a good time with her cousins and I was glad to see them getting along--Lord knows it was overdue. Auntie Max was still being cold towards Cam, but Cam did what I told her. She stuck by me. After the dinner, my family wanted to go to a movie. Yes, the movie theaters are open on Thanksgiving. Everybody left, but Cam and I stayed behind to clean up. We were done in 30 minutes and we just sat back in chill.

"How was everything? Did you like the food?" I asked her.

"Everything was great, Que. I enjoyed myself," she said. "Your family is very nice, with the exception of your aunt."

I laughed 😂.

"Yeah, my Auntie Max is outta there," I explained.

"Has she always been like that?"

"She's like that with the girls I bring home."

"Girls?"

"Yeah. I had a few girls that I would bring to meet my family. Only the special ones."

Cam smiled and shook her head.

"I can't believe your mama let us be alone in her house," she said outta nowhere.

I chuckled and said, "It's funny you know. She sent me a text about 5 seconds after they left." I pulled my phone out and read the message.

It read:

Que I trust you and Cam won't do anything while we're gone. But if you do, just use protection. I don't need any grand kids right now. Okay & tell Cam I apologize for my sister's behavior. Y'all be good.

Cam laughed. I did too.

"Your mama is crazy," she said still laughing. "You want some pecan pie?"

"Yeah, I'll like another slice," I said.

She got up and walked towards the kitchen. When she was walking, I was watching her lil' curves. For a skinny chick, she got something going on. She ain't a damn broomstick if that's y'all are thinking.

"Here you go," she said handing me the pie and a glass of milk. She knows what I want.

"Thank you," I said digging in. My other auntie, who was actually nice to Cam, made a few pecan pies for Thanksgiving. She know my greedy ass will hog it all in a quick second.

"Have you thought about Christmas?" I asked her.

"About going home or staying here?" she responded with a question.

I shook my head 'yes' to her question.

"I'm gonna go home. My people didn't see me this time so I'm a go home."

"I'll miss you."

"I haven't left yet."

"I know, but I'm still gonna miss you when you leave. I'm glad you were here for Thanksgiving though. It means a lot."

Cam smiled and said, "I'm glad you're happy." She paused. "Sing me a lil' something."

I don't mind singing for my baby, y'all.

"Whatchu want me to sing?" I asked.

"Um . . . whatever comes to mind," she says.

I thought for a minute and then decided to sing If I Ain't Got You by Alicia Keys. Now some of y'all maybe like 'why you singing that sweet ass song' or 'why you sounding like a soft nigga'? Look, I'm being 💯 about this song ya heard me. Cam is my girl and I know we've dated for a lil' over a few months, but I really do love her and wanna be with her forever. She's the only one, besides my mother and sisters, who can draw this type of emotion outta me. I've had other females I would bring to see my family, but none of them could bring the vulnerability out like Cam does. Like I've had to catch myself before I started crying whenever her and I would talk on the phone. Like this shit ain't for play play, this shit is for real.

Cam had tears in her eyes after I sung that song. I reached over and wiped her eyes with a tissue.

"Did you like the song or did I sound bad?" I asked jokingly knowing she loved the song.

"You were great, bae. I loved the song too," she said throwing herself into my arms.

"That was all for you and I meant every word I said. Some people want it all, but I don't want nothing at all if I ain't got you."

Cam leaned in and gave me a kiss so deep to the point where I fell back on the couch with her on top of me and we're still kissing. I found myself lifting up her sweater and she wasn't stopping me. We were both getting our groove on until my phone started ringing. It rang and rang, but I ignored it. A few minutes later, it rang again. All right now, whoever it was just messed up a moment and was gonna hear it.

"Yo what the fuck?" I said answering the phone. I was about to go off until I realized screaming on my phone. I looked at my screen and saw it was Issa who called.

"Yo, Issa. Slow down, man. Tell me what's going on," I yelled back at him. Then when he calmed down, I almost fell out my seat when he said what he said. I hung up the phone in a daze.

"Que, what's going on?" Cam asked tugging at my arm. "Tell me what's going on."

I looked her dead in the eyes and said, "Lindsey's been shot."

🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫🔫

OHHHHHHH MYYYYYYYY GOODNESSSSSS!!!!!!

Thanksgiving Day--everything gravy until the devastating news came around regarding Lindsey.

Who do y'all think shot Lindsey? [If y'all get it wrong, y'all obviously haven't been paying any attention to the chapters.]

Man . . . . . 😧😧😧😧😧😧😧😧😧

In the meantime . . . Plz . . .😐😐
