"Good morning students! I hope you all had a fun trip yesterday and that you all have at least one pokemon in your possession by now. As some of you may have experienced, the pokeballs won't work sometimes, even if the pokemon is within your rank range. The pokemon that are above your rank will just deflect the pokeballs if any of you try to catch them, some get really enfuriated too, so be careful.
Enough said! Let's get to training!" The headmaster finishes his speech.
Today is the day we've all been waiting for! Today we learn our pokemons' moves and start our training!
"Good morning class, welcome to the first day of your training alongside your new pokemon! I am Professor Cali and I will be teaching you everything at my disposition!" our professor said kindly.
She was a tall, well-built woman in her mid-thirties with blue sparkling eyes and brown hair reaching her waist.
She had a big scar going across her cheek, it was almost as if she was attacked by something!
Oh no, she noticed me staring at her...
I look away in embarrassment as she continues talking.
"Everyone turn your pokedex's on and follow me!" The professor says as she opens the door and exits with an elegant gesture.
After a few minutes of walking, we arrive at a little pond filled with palpitoads and toxicroaks and all other kinds of pokemon greeting us! The pond was surrounded by plants and flowers made into giant pokemon shapesin the middle was a little platform where the professor had taken her place.
"Everybody let out your pokemon!" She said, suddenly with a more strict voice as she let her own pokemon out. Surprisingly enough, she had just brought a tiny, little magikarp! The magikarp landed in the pond and started making calls of appreciation as more and more pokemon were let out.
I stared in awe at all the different kinds, there were so many! Wait, I FORGOT TO LET MINE OUT! I reach for the pokeballs on my belt, but they aren't there! What could have happened to them? Did I lose them?!
Suddenly the sound of wings is heard and everyone turns their attention to a big pidgeot coming our way, a person riding it with elegance. They landed quickly and hurried into the crowd, my way.
"I suppose these are yours." The man whispers as he hands me two pokeballs. And he didn't need to ask me twice, I had already let my pokemon out. But wait, who was this man? As I see his face, I realise, it was the guy that had brought me to my room a few days ago'
"Thank you very much Mr..."
"Kenway, but lose the Mr. part" he says jokingly as he takes off into the air and leaves!
"Grow, lithe!" Growlithe says as he jumps on me and starts licking my face enthusiastically.
"Shinx?" Shinx looks at me with hesitation.
"Come here!" I say as I lift him into a hug!
"Shiiinx!" It says surprised, but relieved.
"We will now check your pokemon's movesets as well as their gender! I will demonstrate with my Magikarp here!" Professor Cali says loudly.
"This Magikarp is a male and knows the moves tackle and splash!" She says after reading something on her pokedex.
Suddenly, a bright light starts shining, the light was blinding, but everyone had their eyes open! The magikarp was evolving!
"ROOOOAAAAR" says the newly evolved Gyarados as he lowers his head to be pet by his master.
Everyone looksy just as surprised as me to see that weak pokemon grow into something this big and powerful!
"Now it's your turn to see your pokemons gender and moves, remember, a pokemon that has weak moves now, might get stronger moves as the training proceeds!" She says confidently.
"The magikarp that you just saw evolve into this Gyarados, now knows the move dragon rage in addition to the other moves he knew. One blast of dragon rage can really damage any pokemon, especially since dragon type moves are effective against a lot of types!"
Everyone turns to their pokemon and rapidly take out their pokedexes eager to find out just how powerful their pokemon are! Sylvia and I hurry over to the nearest spot of grass, followed by our pokemon and proceed to do the same as the other students have done.
"My pichu and plusle are both female!" Sylvia shouts happily.
"Oh, mine are both male!" I say surprised as shinx and growlithe give me two friendly smirks.
"Time to find out their moves!" I say nervously as I slowly turn around to point the pokedex at my growlithe.
"Nooo!" Sylvia says grabbing my wrist with full force, losing her balance.
We shared a few awkward seconds, Sylvia laying on top of me looking into my eyes.
"I'm really sorry, but I was gonna say that we can have a battle instead of testing it through the pokedex!" She says, quickly pulling to her feet, blushing.
I stand up, trying to hide my red cheeks as I accept her request.
"Shinx?" Shinx says as he straightens his back and gets ready for battle!
"Grow, Lithe!" Growlithe says just as eager to battle.
The battle commences, both parties staying at a distance, carefully examining their foes.
Suddenly both of my pokemon leap into the air and both charge at their opponents, Shinx using thunder fang on pichu, and growlithe using the fire equivalent, fire fang on plusle!
They both hit the two pokemon with perfect accuracy and get back into position, their mouths still wide open from the force of the attacks!
A beam of light shoots up into the air abruptly and Plusle is suddenly above shinx and growlithe as it goes in for a quick attack, aimed at Shinx! As it is going to slam into shinx with all of its might, a great beam of yellow energy flows at plusle, knocking her to the ground. As we try to find the source of the beam, Pichu walks over to plusle.
"Pichu pichu PICHU!" She says, obviously upset with something.
We hurry over to the fallen plusle.
"What is up Pichu?" Sylvia says with the most beautiful voice the world has ever seen.
"Pichu PICHU!" Pichu replies angrily making angry faces at plusle.
"But I thought you liked plusle!" Sylvia says shaken.
"Pichu..." It replies with a warmer voice, hugging the fainted pokemon.
"Then what's wrong pichu?" I ask it.
"Don't you wanna battle?
"Pi-CHU!" It says with a great smile, finally someone understood!
"Well, the I guess we'll just have to check by pokedex! Sylvia says upset.
"My growlithe knows fire fang, ember and bite, and my shinx knows charge, crunch and thunder fang!" I say happily as I finish checking the pokedex.
"Oh! Great news, my pichu knows double slap and thundershock while my plusle knows agility, thunder wave and quick attack!" She says, her healed plusle making a big smile!
"Today's lessons are over! You are free to do whatever you want to do the three days until your real training starts, now just enjoy the surroundings, get to know both people and pokemon and get ready for hard training!" Cali says, exiting the yard heading for the school.
"Wow, three days, what are we going to do?" Sylvia asks after making small beds for our pokemon to share, growlithe and plusle, shinx and pichu!
"We could go into the forest for a picnic." I suggest nervously.
"That's a great idea!" She says, getting ready for bed.
"Goodnight Sylvia!"
"Goodnight Aaron!"
